Licht x Lawless - why not me?

3rd Person p.o.v
It was late. Very late and lawless was still out. Licht wasn't happy to say the least, but he wasn't angry, he was upset. He knew what lawless was doing he had done it since licht confessed to him. Licht sat on the couch about to cry his eyes out when there was a click then the sound of a door closing. Licht got up and went to the door to see Hyde taking his shoes off. "W-welcome back" licht said stuttering from nervousness. On nights like these lawless was unusually snappy. Licht never knew why, he just was. "Yeah. Sorry for staying out so late. night." Hyde said in a cold tone as he walked past licht. Licht turned quickly enough to see Hyde turning the corner. He was getting angry now. He waited until 2am for him then as soon as he comes home he goes to bed? Licht calmed himself before walking to his own room. He laid on his bed facing down. Licht didn't like these nights at all. He always cried on these nights though technically Hyde had done nothing to cause it but it was somehow always his fault. Only on lichts nights off would lawless go out. Licht found out long ago what he had been doing on one unfortunate night. He walked in on lawless in their living room doing it with a woman. That alone hurt, that it was a woman, to him it was as if lawless was saying "you have no chance". But what hurt more was the fact that it happened the day after licht confessed to him. Despite knowing full well of licht's
feelings he still did something like that in front of him. Licht laid on his bed sobbing quietly as to not wake hyde, yes despite all hyde has done to him he still is considerate of him. He muffled his cries with his pillow soaking it with his tears until morning. Lichts alarm went off at six a.m though he didn't need it to wake him since he already was awake. He turned his alarm off and got up to go to the bathroom. He knew today was going to be worse then yesterday. Why? Well that's because- "morning lich-tan!" Lawless said running past licht and stopping himself with a wall. That's why. Every time nights like last night happen lawless pretends like nothing happened the next day. Licht nodded at him and continued to the bathroom. "I'll make breakfast!" Lawless said wizzing to the kitchen. Licht walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind him. He looked at himself in the mirror and cringed. His eyes were bloodshot and red from all the crying and he looked like a zombie due to the lack of sleep. He sighed and turned the water on beginning to wash his face. Once he finished up he walked out and into the kitchen where lawless was. He sat down at the table and within minutes a plate of eggs and bacon was placed in front of him. He thanked lawless and ate quickly to avoid all conversation that he could. As soon as he finished he ran out the door and to Crantz's next place for him to perform. Granted he didn't have to perform until night he still wanted to practice and avoid lawless. Crantz greeted him when he arrived and questioned where lawless was but got no reply. Crantz showed licht around and allowed him to practice for a little bit until he had to preform. Let's see its 8 now and he didn't have to perform until 6... you do the math. He practiced for awhile. Finally after practicing so much the time to perform came and he walked onto the stage peeking at the audience seeing lawless grinning at him. Licht blushed slightly but straightened up as he sat down. Fear not his emotions didn't effect his performance and it all went well. Once it was over he had Crantz drive him home though he knew lawless would be there. Crantz waved to licht as he got out of the car. Licht waved back and walked toward his front door. He unlocked it and walked in. He took his shoes off and walked into the living room. Lawless was sitting on the couch. Licht turned around and began walking to his room when lawless yelled "Hey! Lich- tan come here." Licht jumped and turned slightly. Lawless wasn't looking his way and licht knew he could just ignore him and walk away but something was drawing him forward. He walked into the living room and took a seat as far away from Hyde as he could. "Listen licht we need to talk." Hyde said in a serious tone which caught licht off guard. "T- talk? About what?" Licht said nervousness thick in his voice. "About us." Lawless said looking licht dead in the eye. Licht turned away and said nothing. "I want you to give up on me we'll never work." Lawless said disappointment in his voice. "Excuse me?" Licht said snapping his gaze back onto lawless. "I've tried Hyde do you think I want to feel the awful way I do?" Licht said rage building up in him though he didn't know why. "I'm trying to help licht" lawless said sadness seeping in slightly. "How? By sleeping around almost every night? Thats not helping thats just making me feel like shit hyde." Licht said crossing his arms. "I'm sorry licht I can't fall in love with you." Lawless said looking away. "Why?" Licht asked. It was a simple question yet lawless found himself unable to answer. "B-because you'll die." Lawless muttered. "So?" Licht said his anger calming. "Then I'll lose you and I'm not willing to go through that again licht" lawless said thoughtfully.  "So you're going to make me suffer? Thats awfully selfish Hyde." Licht said sadness creeping up on him. "I know I'm sorry licht but I can't betray Ophelia." Lawless said suddenly bringing her up. "She has nothing to do with this! If you're still in love with her just say so! Don't give me bullshit hyde!" Licht yelled standing up. Lawless shook his head. "I'm sorry." Was all he said. Licht felt tears begin to form as he store at Hyde. "I'm leaving. I'm never coming back." Licht said turning to the door. "Licht! What about the contract?!" Hyde yelled following after him. "I'll die. I'd rather die then put up with these emotions." Licht said bitterly as he slipped his boots on. "What? No you can't. I won't let you." Lawless said gripping lichts wrist. "Watch me." Licht said yanking him arm from hydes grasp. "Goodbye hyde." Licht said turning away from him. "No you can't leave me. I can't be alone again licht." Lawless said his own tears forming. "You should have though about that before. Besides you have plenty of other choices. Farwell hyde" licht said opening the door and slamming it behind him. He began to cry as he ran to mahiru's house. Lawless too sobbed and fell to the floor crying out lichts name. 'This is where it ends.' They thought grimly.
