"Monarch is finished. We don't need their blessing, never have. They failed again and again, and every time they've put humankind in danger. We have the technology to save everyone, and we're going to use it."
"I'm just not sure this was the best way of implementing it."
"Getting cold feet now isn't an option. North America is in shambles, the supervolcano first, and now Moguera's nuclear blast have put us all in danger."
"Why don't we let the American's deal with their own problem?"
"Because it's not just their problem! The ash has clogged the atmosphere, major climate shift is already showing its effects. We prepared for rising global temperatures for years, now we're trending in the opposite direction. And that's not even mentioning the creatures that live in that ash cloud over the American midwest. Thousands, probably millions of hostile and dangerous new lifeforms, how long until they spread? We've already seen some of the bigger ones in Asia, it's only a matter of time until one comes marching into Europe, knocking down our door."
"I just don't think it's a good idea to use the artificial intelligence program now, in this way. We already saw that Moguera was corrupted."
"Moguera wasn't A.I. We're not the Russians, using untested technology willy-nilly. We've studied the psychic abilities of the MUTOs, we know what we're doing."
"I just...I'm not comfortable with it."
"...You are not thinking about the mech itself are you?"
"..."
"Jesus Christ man. Yes it's unorthodox–"
"It's disrespectful."
"Oh cry me a river, they're animals, and given the circumstances my conscience is clear. The benefits from building this way are immense; lighter, stronger, much faster construction time, we can't match that. This isn't like the Russian's attempt either, it's safer, we put some hard restrictions on the reactor. We even gave up atomic breath to be sure of that."
"Mothra won't like it either way."
"She won't try to stop us either...and if she does we'll kill her. Kiryu is more than capable of that. Activate the A.I."
Buried deep under Switzerland, a group of researchers stand in a room filled with computer banks. On the wall in front of them is a large monitor. In the corner a small piece of text reads, "CERN - Viceroy - Kiryu A.I. program."
Flipping a switch on the wall, one of the researchers leans forward into a microphone.
"Hello."
A moment passes and a voice responds, "Hello." Slowly, and methodically, a feminine, monotone voice responds.
"I'm sure this must all be a little confusing to you right now."
"This is accurate," the computerized voice replies.
"We're going to start feeding you information, if at any time you need us to stop or slow down, or if you have any questions, please let us know."
Typing a short command into a keyboard, the computer begins to give information to the newly born A.I. Hours pass in silence, then the data feed stops.
"Thank you," Kiryu says simply.
"Is there anything else you wish to know?"
"Many things, but I'm sure I can find answers to them on your Internet. I suppose I'd like to know when I start though?"
