1 YEAR LATER Joelle POV "Come on birthday girl." I held Kali's hand.
We entered Chuck E. Cheese and saw everybody there.
All the kids were playing with each other. It was so cute. Kali started jumping about with Kayden, Teyana and Sully's child.
After everyone played, it was time to swing happy birthday to the birthday girl. I carried her to the cake that sat on the table.
"Okay everyone 3, 2, 1..!" I said.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Kali. Happy birthday to you!" Everyone sang.
"Blow the candles out baby." I grinned.
She tried blowing the candles but it didn't go out.
She tried to touching it but I immediately moved her hand.
"Okay everybody, blow the candle! 1, 2, 3!".
Everyone helped Kali blow the candle until it went out.
After cutting the cake, everyone had their piece. Once everyone also had their fun, it was time to leave. Luckily, we weren't gonna clean up. I picked up Kali and we left Chuck E. Cheese.
"Did you have fun?" I asked Kali.
"Yeah!" She exclaimed in the back.
I smiled.
"Let's go home and get some sleep." I tell her.
"Ma ma.." She said.
"Hm..?" I looked at her through the mirror.
She was pointing at her iPad.
I reached for the iPad and handed it to her. She began playing games on it. Once we reached for the house, I got her ready for bed. She's always asking for her father. I've been taking her to see Jamal but when she reached 10 months, I stopped. Only I go alone.
Bringing Kali would just make her maybe start crying as she asks for her dad. Once putting Kali to bed, I laid beside her using my phone. My phone began to ring and I picked it up.
"You've got a call from-.".
I accepted the call and smiled a little.
"Hello?" I heard his deep voice.
"Hey Jamal." I smiled as if he could see me.
"You sleeping?" He asked.
"Nah, just put your princess to sleep. Today was so long. I just wished that you was here." I walked to my room.
"Why didn't you come and see me?".
"I just wanted her to have her day. I'll come and see you tomorrow, don't worry.".
"I haven't seen her in a long time, is she okay?".
"Yeah, she's fine. How are you?" I opened my closet.
"I'm ight. Just 9 more years to go and I'm coming out to put a ring around that finger." He told me.
I laughed and blushed.
"Well, I'm here waiting for you." I grinned.
"I love you Joelle.".
"I love you too.".
NEXT DAY "Okay lil mama, let's head out of the house." I wore my shades.
She ran out of the house and went to where he flower pots were.
