Aerie pierced her sword on one of the harpies that was nearest to her and sliced her in half, vertically. The creature in front of her screamed then turned to ashes. Aerie jumped backwards close to Zach who counted them.

“Thirty.” Aerie said.

“Oh, okay.” He nodded. Then he stopped counting them.

“Go!” Aerie shouted. Zach, who was startled, aimed his two guns to the harpies a few meters away from them and pulled the trigger. Two harpies turned to dust. Then he shoots again. He already eliminated four harpies.

“Twenty five to go.” Aerie raised her eyebrow. Zach half-raised his left thumb and smiled.

The tallest harpy, who is the leader, ordered to attack and kill them both. All of the harpies, except the leader fly into mid-air. Aerie sighed and rolled her eyes, she looked at her sword.

“Looks like my sword isn’t good for this battle.” She said. The sword glowed in red light. Zach and the harpies covered their eyes.

When the light vanished, the sword is gone in her hands. Instead, a five foot tall long bow is now in her hand. Her bow is made from unbreakable steel mixed with nano-diamonds, Sharp pointy blades on both ends, and is colored with scarlet red with silver marks on it. The bow string is colored and made of silver and the string doesn’t cut easily.

“Woah! Nice! Haven’t seen that for a long time!” Zach exclaimed while he rubbed his eyes.

“This is the third time I’m using this lovely bow.” Aerie replied while she strokes her right hand on the bow. Feeling the marks embed on it.

She placed a red arrow with pink flame surrounding it on the bow and aimed at the flying harpies. Then she fired it at them. The arrow multiplied into ten arrows before it hits their targets. Ten harpies screamed and turned to dust. Fifteen harpies left.

“Piece of chocolate!” Aerie said. Zach looked curious.

“’Chocolate’? Why ‘chocolate’?” He asked.

“I love chocolates! Problems?” she smiled.

“No, never mind.” He looked at the harpies. “I can take care of them.”

“Okay! I’ll be with her.” Aerie points to the leader. They nodded to each other and Zach split up with her. Aerie still in her place she placed a green arrow with white marks on the head on the bow. Aimed at the leader who is looking murderously at her, and then she was hit. But she blocked it, she knows what’ll the harpy will do to her again. She won’t let the harpy do that to her again. And she knows that she’s the fastest among them. But Aerie’s much faster.

Aerie slashed the harpy with her bow-end but the harpy dodged it then the harpy slashed her with her nails but stopped when she saw that her long nails weren’t there. It’s been cut, by Aerie.

“You!!!” the harpy is pissed. Aerie pointed to herself with a matching laugh. “You’ll pay for this!!!”  The harpy flew into mid-air to grow back her nails. When she’s done, she was shot by a green arrow the one that Aerie tried to shoot the harpy with. Then she screamed, much louder than the others who were eliminated earlier. The she turned into a green dust and vanished along with the wind.

“Don’t make me wait.” Aerie said. Her bow in hand vanished, she sighed in relief. “That’s a short fight.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll keep you in company!” a voice behind her said. Aerie was startled. Before someone tried to attacked her, she turned around and jumped backwards meters away to avoid getting hit. When the attacker lands it made an impact on the ground where Aerie stood earlier.

Aerie saw a human in a black suit holding two blades on each hand. He’s wearing black sunglasses so Aerie can’t determine who that person maybe. But she knows that it’s a boy. A young boy, Aerie thought. He has a fair complexion, height is almost the same as hers, slightly messy hair. And it’s obviously not on their side.

“Who are you?” she asked calmly as she equipped back her katana. The boy patted his suit and looked at her with a deadly smile. He raised his blades and clasped it together to make one thicker and longer blade. He placed it on his back.

Then the boy slowly walked towards her. Aerie froze. Her eyes wide open as she looked at him and a little paler than earlier. Before the boy get near to her, Aerie made a devilish smile. Then he was hit on his side and fell few meters away on Aerie right side. She unfroze.

“Hey! Are you okay?” It was her brother.

“I’m fine.” She smiled and started to laugh.

“What?” Jace looked confused.

“Let’s just say my plan is successful.”

Jace understands what she’s talking about. Aerie saw him on the corner of her eye when the boy came and walking towards her. But she ignores him. And she pretended to looked a bit frightened. Then he charged to save her.

Then Zach came, looking exhausted, while he fixed his hair. Aerie did the same to hers. She looked at place where the boy should still be. But unsurprisingly (for Aerie), he’s not there. She looked up and saw him floating in the mid-air; his glasses have some cracks on it. With the help of a harpy of course.

“Today isn’t the right time to fight. See ‘ya.” The boy waved at her. Then the harpy flew farther until Aerie and company can’t see them anymore. The sky turned back to normal just as Aerie and Zach transformed back to normal. The flame on Aerie’s right eye was extinguished and her red colored eyes went back to pink also. Then three of them went home. Like nothing happened.

The next morning, in the hallway…

Aerie just came to school and almost near to her classroom. She’s wearing a special reading glasses that made eyes turned to black, she forgotten it yesterday and lots of students asked her where did she buy that pink contact lenses(no one knows that her pink colored eyes are real, except Madison) she lied to them that it was gift from a relative.

She saw a bunch of students looking at someone inside the classroom and blocking the door.

“What’s going in there?” she muttered.

“There’s a new student, again, in our class!” Madison appeared beside her. Aerie wasn’t startled, just nodded. And they both forced their way to get inside. When they were in, they saw the transfer student. As they went to their seats, Aerie examined him. And she was shocked (though she wasn’t looking like one). It was the boy who tried to kill her and escaped with the help of a harpy yesterday.

Then the boy looked at her (Aerie is two rows away behind him, he’s in the front row seat) with the same smile he did yesterday. His eyes were dark blue and had a brown short hair.

Aerie looked seriously at him. And he looked at the board. Good thing Madison didn’t notice it.

Who are you? What do you want?
