I laid on my bed, staring at the ceiling of my room. It had taken me three showers to get the beer smell out of my hair. A soft snoring caught my attention and I peeked my head over the edge of my bed. Angela was fast asleep, her hair covering most of her face. I smirked and rolled onto my back, trying to force myself to sleep, but I couldn't. All my friends hated me and it hadn't even been a week since that party happened. I rolled onto my side and closed my eyes, trying to sleep as much as I could. I felt myself drifting into sleep.

I was back at the party, the music was loud and hard to understand. People were screaming over each other, trying to be heard over the music. I looked down and there was a green Solo cup in my hand, filled with beer. I looked around and started towards Brittney. She was talking to Madison again, but this time she jumped up and gave me a huge hug. "Where were you?! Where's Sebastian?!" she yelled excitedly. I froze at his name.

"What do you mean?" I asked, stunned. She giggled and pointed towards the doorway. I turned and saw Sebastian, standing there, looking cool. He sauntered over to us and wrapped his arm around my waist. He planted a soft kiss on my cheek.

"Hey, baby!" he yelled over the music. I looked around and everyone was staring at us. I shrank back into him and suddenly I was thrown forward. "Just kidding!" Everyone erupted into fits of laughter as I hit the floor. I screamed at them as they threw their drinks at me, the beer getting all over me. Then, I was falling through an endless pit of darkness. I shot straight up in my bed, screaming at the top of my lungs. I stopped, gulping for air. I saw something move and I screamed again, falling off of my bed. I saw a bright flash as my head hit the floor.

I saw a figure coming towards me in the dark and I crawled away from them, cowering in a corner. The figure didn't relent and knelt down before me. "Lindsay, it's me!" I heard someone yell. Suddenly, my door was thrown open and the light turned on. I threw my hands over my eyes, shielding them from the sudden change of light. Someone took me into their arms and I nestled my nose into their hair. I smelled the Charnel, and I knew immediately that it was my mother. She rubbed the back of my head, calming me down.

"It's okay, honey. Mommy's here, Mommy has you," she whispered. This was the first time that my mom had ever comforted me when I had a nightmare. Normally, it was Karen, or soemtimes my dad if he would hear me screaming. I pulled away from her and took in her business suit.

"Mom, where have you been?" She chuckled as she pushed the hair from my face.

"Work, darling. I just got in when I heard you screaming," she said kindly, a smile playing on her face. I smiled back at her and she rose to her feet. "You girls should get back to bed. I would hate for Karen to have to put up with two tired teenagers." With that, she left my room. No good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite. No, I love you, darling. Nothing. That's how it always was with her. She always forgot about making it known that she loved me. I sighed heavily as I got back into my bed, throwing the covers back over me.

"You okay?" Angela asked. I nodded my head sadly. "You don't seem like it." I shrugged my shoulders in response. She turned the lights off and stumbled back to the trundle bed. I heard her land on it and she moved around, the springs squeaking under her weight. "Your mom seems nice."

"She can be," I said quietly. I turned away from her. "Sorry, Angela, but I am just so tired." I heard her sigh.

"Good night," she said as the springs moved again as she laid back down. After that eventful nightmare, I fell back asleep with ease. Hoping that tomorrow, I could just lay in my bed without any interruption.
