13.

"here you go."

he hands me the sheet of scratch paper and an almost empty pen

i can hardly read what i wrote

but i turn it over to him anyway

he scrunches his eyebrows a bit before chuckling

"it's unfortunate that i can't read that, it seems important."

i grab the paper angrily crumpling it in my hand

i set the pen down, since it seemingly isn't serving me any justice

"w-where..."

my voice is hoarse and it comes out as dusty whisper

i clear my throat a bit before beginning again

"w-where is ja-aebum?"

jinyoung leans forward a bit and places a hand on his ear mockingly

"y-you said i could s-see him."

jinyoung sighs before leaning back in his seat

"in a bit."

he stands up slowly straightening his pants

"would you like some tea?"

i look at him skeptically before nodding my head slowly

suddenly i hear a loud noise

it sounds like chains slamming against the floor

i notice jinyoung's face twitch a bit, while a wave of anger flashes before his eyes for a quick moment

"i'll be just a second with the tea, you wait right here."
