Zera
Andrew dropped me off, I said my goodbyes and opened the door to make my exit before he grabbed my arm
"Zera, how've you been feeling?" He said, his tone was suspicious but it was obvious he was trying to sound casual,
Play it cool, lie
"Uh...fine really, nice and healthy and I'm already over the nightmare, form" I say taking my hand away slowly
"I'm gonna head to class early.... See you"
That was it, I quickly close the door and step onto the sidewalk and begin to walk. I decide to cut through the parking lot when I catch a glimpse of Rowen and Kayden, I can't help but blush a bit, like some preppy school girl from a terrible teen movie
Oh my god....what am I now?
I shake that embarrassing comparison from my head when I hear his voice
"Zera! Hey!" He called, a smile growing on his face as soon as he saw me
jeez....why is he so handsome I don't get it.
I smile and wave to them and make my way over to them
"You two are here early," I say to the two of them, Kayden pushed off the hood of the car and gave me a hug and lingered a bit, I felt a tug in my stomach when he pulled away and I couldn't help but blush. Kayden sat back on the hood, they were listening to some Phidel.....I live for Phidel oh my god.
We sat there for a bit and talked about interests, for me it was art and writing, for Rowen it was sports and computers and basically anything tech related and for Kayden it was sports and cars. As I listened to them tell stories of their first sports, First time driving and working on cars and first computer. Soon students started arriving and Rowen turns the car off while me and Kayden walked ahead a bit,
"I'm excited to watch you play, your game's tomorrow right?" I ask as we walk up the curb to the entrance,
"Oh, uh yeah it is I'm....I'm kinda nervous now" he responded with a slight stammer, I wonder why?
"Hm? Why? Haven't y'all had other games before?" I asked raising a brow
He fiddled with his hands a bit and cleared his throat before answering,
"If I'm honest it's because you'll be there and I don't want to mess up," he said rubbing the back of his neck a bit as he spoke. Me? He's nervous because I'm going to be there? The thought made me blush,
"You'll do fine, your team and you will win I'm sure of it and even if you don't win, which is impossible, I won't see you any differently," i say with a nudge
