I wait for Harry to pick me up like we agreed in the classroom earlier. The thought sends sivers down my spine. His lips gliding along my jaw is a feeling I could never get sick of. I don't know what we are right now, because we're nowhere close to a relationship, yet we are becoming good friends. "Good friends don't kiss, though." My inner self says, and I feel a little more nervous.
My phone beeps and I check to see a message from Harry.
"Sorry, can't make it." it says, and my chest tightens a little. I throw my phone on my bed, and slowly take off my Docs. I suppose we've been hanging out alot lately, and I really don't know what to do now. Carmen has gone early to visit her boyfriend in Cambrige. I hop onto my bed and stare at the ceiling, wondering what I could do. Before I can think I am dialing Niall's number.
"Baby?" He asks, surprised at my call. "Is everything alright?" He asks.
"Yeah, everything is fine!" I assure him. "I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out or something, like now! I mean, it's okay if you already have pl-"
"No! come over!" He blurts through the phone. "I mean, i'm free." He adds, trying to sound a bit more chill then previously. I giggle, and he laughs to.
"Alright, where do you want to hang out?" I ask.
"You can come to my apartment, it's off campus!" He says, and my stomach tightens. I don't want to give Niall the wrong impression if I agree to hang out with him alone. I mean, I do want to, and I doubt he's really into me.
"Alright!" I agree, and he tells me he's going to pick me up in moments. We hang up, and I throw on my vans. Everybody always mistakes them for Toms, but they're clearly vans. I look in the mirror and I am pleased with my outfit. I am wearing white ripped jeans, and an 'Arctic Monkeys' band shirt. I go to send a snapchat to my brother, and I make the ugliest face possible. My selfie is interrupted by a knock on the door, and immidiately after Niall walks in.
"Baby! You look amazing!" He says, and I blush, thanking him. I grab my phone, and bag and we head out to the lot. He has a large white SUV. I stand in awe looking at the car.
"Wow, your car is beautiful! How did you manage to afford that?" I ask, and he turns a shade of red. "Oh my god, not that I thought you were poor or anything... I mean-"
"I know, Baby." He says, smiling at me. He opens my side of the car, and I get in, thanking him once again. "It's a really expensive car, but my dad owns a dealership. so he got me a car for my 18th birthday." He explains, and I knod to show i'm listening. My phone makes a loud duck quack and I see its a text from Harry.
"Who's texting you?" Niall asks curiously, focusing on the road. I stay quiet, knowing he wont like to hear Harry's name roll off my tongue. "Oh, it's Harry." He says.
"Yeah, it's no big deal." I say, putting my phone back into my bag. Soon after it's followed by a second, third and fourth quack. "Jesus!" I say, and grab my phone to read the texts.
"You never replied to me, I hope you haven't been waiting. I'm sorry."
I roll my eyes, and click the next message.
"Baby... Are you upset with me?"
I really am not mad at him, I was just kind of dissapointed that he didn't want to hang out with me and he's been weird lately. I go to read the last two messages.
"Whatever I don't fucking care anyways."
My chest tightens, and I read the last message.
"That last message was unnessicary, but I just want to know you're okay with me. Call me whenever. x"
I sigh, and dial his number. "I'll only be a second on the phone!" I assure Niall, and I can he him rolling his eyes under his glasses. Immidiately Harry answers the phone.
