Chapter 5
I wake up to a burning smell, stronger than last night. "Fire!" I yell to Tori, coughing. "Get everything fast!"
Tori starts shoving blankets into something, while I throw water on the fire. It caught on some overhanging trees, and I get a burn on my shoulder. I throw my shirt into the stream, and pull Tori out of the cave. Right after she escapes, the roof collapses. Tori throws her sack in a tree, and starts helping me with the spreading flames. I get more burns on my feet and arms, but the flame is put out after a while.
Tori notices my burns, and pulls something out. "Put this on your burns." She hands me the jar. "It should heal them if you put some on them every day."
I rub a bit on one of the burns, and the burn starts feeling cool where I rubbed the cream. "Thanks Tori!"
"That should cool you off!" Tori smiles at me, rubbing a bit on one of hers.
After we've covered the burns, we start back towards the center city, and Tori starts whistling a tune I've never heard before. It sounds like some of the bird calls, but not exactly. After it finishes, Tori sighs.
"My mom would whistle it to me before I was kicked out... My father would hit her for it, but she didn't stop." Tears come into her eyes, and I sit beside her.
I hear two people stomping through the woods, and I pull out my sword, ready to kill anything coming after us.

What - or who - is coming? I actually don't know! I don't know how I got there. I had them walking through the woods, then Tori was whistling, and people came through! I had my iPad taken away, so I have to use my parents' computer. Will update when I figure out what happens next!
