The perks of being pregnant

-I look over at my sleeping fiancé and smile. Oh how I love her. She smiles in her sleep and I melt. I kiss her cheek and say "time to wake up love, we have to get ready for our 4 and a half month appointment." She groans. She's usually a morning person, but since she's pregnant, sleep is her favorite thing in the world. I place my hands on her round belly. "Hey baby good morning I can't wait to see you today." Rachel sits up and smiles. "I love it when you talk to our baby." I smile and kiss her. Then we get ready for the day. It's hard to believe that in 5 months I'm gonna be a father...I am super excited!! Her bump is starting to show and I love rubbing it and talking to it. Rachel always gets so happy when I do. She doesn't much though. I still think she's afraid of getting to attached an then just losing it again. But it won't happen I'm positive of that. She comes out of the bathroom and I smile. She is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. I hug her from behind and place my hands on her stomach. "I love you so much." I whisper in her ear. I can feel her sway with pleasure. "I love you too," she turns around to face me. "Your so good to us." I smile. "It's because I love you." I kiss her and rub her stomach. "Both of you." She giggles. "Ok let's go to the appointment" she says as I hand her, her purse. "I can't wait to see our little angel." I say to her, as we sit in the waiting room. She giggles. "Same!!!!! And at this appointment we get to hear it's heartbeat at this appointment!!" I smile and chuckle. "Guess what's the next appointment?" She says and we look at each other and exclaimed. "The gender!!" We laugh and I kiss her as her name is called. Here we go!!
-I look over at the screen and I feel hot tears roll down my cheeks as this amazing sound fills the room. I look over at Finn and he wears the same shocked expression. "That's our baby" he chokes out. I loved hearing that sound thump-thump-thump. " Yea it is!!" I say and take his hand. This is one of the best moments of my life. The doctor hands us pictures as I hope the gel off my tummy. At home I lay down on the couch and fall asleep.
I was laying on the couch when all of the sudden a little girl came sprinting at me. "Momma momma!!!" She sang and sat on my lap. I look at her and she looks exactly like me with hints of Finn like height, goofy appearance and his grin. I laugh and kiss her forehead. "I love you momma." She says and I find myself saying "I love you too baby girl." Finn walks in and kisses me. "How's my wife and baby?" He asks. Wait? We are married!!!
I wake realizing it was just a dream. I was an amazing dream and I hope that becomes my future. I have a sudden craving for pickles, nachos and ketchup. A really bad one. Crap...I heard about these things happening. But Im a vegan... Oh well baby gets what baby wants. "Finn!!" I yell. "Yes baby?!?" He says walking up to me. "Can you go to the store and get me pickles and nachos." We already have ketchup. "Ok..but aren't you a vegan?" I sigh. "Yea but I think um I'm gonna go vegetarian because the baby will need dairy so yea." He runs to the store. I started talking to the baby. I don't much because I am still scared. But oh well. "Hey baby...it's your mamma, I love you so much. I know I don't show it that much but I do. I hope you like it in there..I'm trying to make it the best for you. I heard you today and I was so happy. I can't wait to hold you in my arms." I hear Finn come up and put his hands on my stomach. He begins to sing 'my wish' and I join this time. Oh how much I love my little family.
