When green lights turn to red,
Sweat pressed into the wheel,
Those memories of what bled,
Now, trying to forget how to feel.Little girl looking out the window,
Holding her teddy so close,
Fast would the wind blow,
No one knows where it goes.Music blasting from the car,
Young boy running from home,
Now, he's just a little too far,
But he likes it when he's alone.Mother and Father holding hands,
Trying to keep on brave faces,
It was unknown where their child stands,
As all the cars continued their races.Tears dipped in darkness they fell,
She was just inside the walls,
What struggles- she wouldn't tell,
Before the speed of the car falls.Windows rolled up in the heat,
They all turned up the numbing music,
Tires still for a moments in the beat,
Their feelings stuck in a little unit.Little girl with her headphones in,
Watching the broken pass by,
Knowing in this life- no one would win,
They would soon put back on their li
