"Thorin, what brings you to my room in the middle of the night and a blizzard?" My nose crinkled at the cold that Thorin was allowing into my room. His body slowly began to straighten out from its crumpled position from the windowsill. Snow fell onto my floor that had the pleasure of his shoulders. I watched as the tiny specs became water droplets onto the wood.

"It was cold in my bed." He shrugged.

"So you came here?" I backed away, crossing my arms over my chest while watching Thorin as he slammed the window shut.

He chuckled. "Well, I didn't want you to walk in the snow so that's why I came here." The asshole tried to give me an innocent grin.

Coolness bit at the bridge of my nose when my fingers pinched it in irritation. "Thorin, that's not what I meant." The idiot continued to make himself cozy and sit on my bed. His legs crossed each other, locking themselves into a position that would be hard to break him out of. He had a wide smile on his lips, a little goofy though a smirk wanted to break out of it. A thump came out of the mattress when the idiot proceeded to slap the area next to him.

"I actually wanted to come here to talk to you." He gave me a more innocent look.

"About...?"

My body was hesitant when slowly pressing down onto my bed. I wasn't exactly in the area that Thorin patted for it was a little too close for my comfort. The lamp next to him gave the room a soft glow and resting shadows. One of those shadows fell onto Thorin's face, making it a little difficult to really look at him except for his eyes. His eyes held a little twinkle from the scarce light.

"Anything." He shrugged. "How's school coming along?" His arms stretched back behind him, allowing his torso to slightly lean back.

"Oh, it was great." Besides the fact that some kid that Thorin wanted to see dead was getting too close to me. "We have a new kid, I think you two may get along." Mostly due to the fact that they both didn't like Jace but then again, neither did I. Did anyone really besides his friend Terry who by the way, was still failing math. Well besides Terry, a lot of the popular people and teachers.

"Is that one arsehole still bothering you?"

"Who are you talking about?" I blinked innocently at him and smiled. I mostly smiled because I thought it was kind of funny and cute how he said 'arsehole' instead of 'asshole'.

"Jace."

"Oh.... him. Haven't talked to him in a while." I felt bad for lying for this was actually more for Thorin's sake. I didn't want him to get into more trouble because of me.

"Really?" He didn't seem to be convinced. "I would think since I wasn't there, he would try and talk to you more."

My lips frowned and my nose crinkled. "Nope, not at all. I haven't seen him actually."

"Good." His voice sounded relieved. "Who is this new kid by the way?"

It took me a few minutes to remember his name. "Sai."
