Months LaterThe sound of light tears filled the funeral home, many people would've never thought that it would've ended like this or in fact, end so soon. The love that one share with another is unbreakable, even through death. In some odd way, the love of the lost souls still travel, still flourish and still connects.
"Somebody calm her down please..." The pastor coughed into the microphone, Rodgers mother was going insane but it was expected, her first born was gone due to someone killing him. Many people believed that the AIDS had gotten to him first but when they found out he was murdered in his own home, it was no way of getting around it.
No one still to this day knows who killed him. "Mama please calm down" A stressed Loren pressured her mom into relaxing yet it only calmed her down for the moment. Rodger and his mom had a strong bond, stronger than anyone could imagine and Loren never understood why. Loren was always treated like the side dish while Rodger was his mothers main course.
"YOU CAN'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN" Her voice boomed with rage, the amount of stress that was boiling through her blood could possibly kill her but she was determined to live out her days. She was determined to run her sons company."Mrs.Wiggins will you please say some kind words." The pastor directed his attention over to Kijah, he decided it was time to get his mother out of here before things took a turn for the worse. "GET THAT BITCH OUT OF HERE!" Rodgers' mother gave off this evil stare to Kijah that could possibly put her in the casket with Rodger, if she wasn't such a holy women Kijah would be next to go.
Kijah shook her head slowly watching the scene that flourished before her, the feelings were mutual, she had a strong hate for his mother as well. Rodgers mother believed in her heart that Kijah set up the killing but in fact Kijah wasn't even around when it happened, Rodger was at his house in a whole other city.
Things took a hard left when the accusation came about, that night, that moment, that thought, was unforgettable.
Kijah's eyes roamed the funeral, her eyes landed on a few familiar faces that she hadn't seen in months. Courtney, AJ, Loren and even Penny. These are faces of enemies she had gain, enemies that she knew she'd never lose."Rodger Raheem Wiggins" Kijah finally spoke up looking down at the mic. Memories flooded her shallow mind, the pool of thoughts drowned her conscience. "That man...that man was the love of my life." AJ smirked looking at Kijah while she made her comment, Love of your life huh, AJ thought.
"Rodger built me up to the person that I am today, through our pain and sorrow, happiest and joyful days, he was the one I loved. Many people didn't understand our relationship but that was okay, it wasn't for them to understand..." Kijah fluttered her eyes trying to hold back the tears she had not let out since she heard about his unfortunate death.
"Some say love comes once in a life time, that you can't feel the same love twice. For some reason I wish I could, I wish I could love him again, I wish I could see him in the morning and hear his raspy voice say I love you KiKi, i wish this love came around for a second time....It's not easy letting him go, but it's not easy holding on to him either. Our love was toxic, some would say it was unhealthy, to be together for ten years and still love each other is a blessing though...."
The sound of Rodgers mother screaming bloody murder escaped from outside of the funeral. Everyone's attention was driven towards the doors that laid behind them. "Mama put the gun away!" Loren yelled at the top of her lungs, those words drove everyone in the church into a panic. "I'm gonna kill that bitch! For my son!" Her cries increased piercing their ears, it was unfortunate things had to end this way.
