"That's so sad, mommy. But I got a same name as him!" my son grinned.
My tears started to flow out and hugged him.
"Mommy? Are you okay?" He patted my back.
"No, Travis. Mommy's fine, the story was just sad that the guy didn't make it at last," I forced a smile on my lips.
"Travis!"
"Daddy! You're here!" he smiled.
--------
I didn't know that he wasn't going to make it. I just.. I don't know anymore. I wanna die, kill myself. I know I shouldn't, but no one's left to stop me now. I have no one anymore. Mom's in Paris, I can't even move my body anymore, though.
I overdosed myself with sleeping pills, as the incident last time gave me insomnia. I was going crazy, I felt like my brain wasn't even working anymore. And then my visions started to blur and I collapsed.
Then, I woke up. Starting from the first.
"Where am I?" I whispered to myself.
I saw Julivian, but he was way more different than last time I saw him. He got more skinny and handsome, if you'd ask. He looked at me with big eyes as I slowly opened mine.
"Linda! Oh my god at last you woke up. You've been in a coma for 5 years now!" he shouted and hugged me.
What? I can't remember anything. What happened? Did he waited for me for 5 years?
"I can't seem to remember. My head hurts," I made a circle movement beside my forehead.
"The doctor told me you consumed the whole thing of the sleeping pills. What were you trying to do, Lin?"
I was silent, then I looked around the room and saw a picture in a frame. I looked closely, trying to recognize the person.
"Who is this?" I asked Julivian, pointing to the photo.
"He's.. your dream man. The one you tried to save," he sighed.
"Did I? Who's his name though?" I asked.
"Travis."
Travis? Um.. gah! Travis! I remember him now. Did I forgot to save him the past year? Oh my god.
"Where is he? I shouldn't be sitting here right now. I need to help him find the serum. The winter." I quickly removed the needle that was connecting to my hand and walked to the door.
"Linda.. don't do this," he frowned.
"What? He needs my help and-"
"He's gone, Linda! He's gone!" he shouted.
"You're kidding, right? Ha ha, your jokes are too much. I'm still meeting with him," I rolled my eyes.
He grabbed my hand, made my legs stopped and looked with me with his really death-serious face.
"Come on, Linda. He died 5 years ago! Please," he cried.
"No. No, no, no. No, Julivian. Why is he supposed to die, I haven't helped him yet. I promised to him," I sobbed.
"You DID find it, you helped him break the curse. But he sacrificed his self to vanish the last vampire of the world," he said while I'm in his arms.
As he said those words, every past that I did suddenly comes back to me, hitting me right into the spot, like got hit by a baseball.
"I'm sorry, Linda. You can't change the past anymore. Past is past. You need to move on," he slowly wipes my tears.
After a week sitting in the hospital being diagnosed, I finally got discharged. Julivian and I went to my house and he stayed there to make sure I was eating my medicine scheduled after I got my temporary amnesia.
