With a sense of instability, she regained consciousness. Her eyes opened to rooftops passing by below her. The Genius had draped her over his shoulder like he had done to a lot of people. Shorty let out a cry.
"Would you stop that!" he snarled, holding her struggling body still.
"Sorry," she mumbled, scarcely heard over The Genius's jetpack.
They finally landed. He put the trembling girl down.
"You okay?"
"Yeah," she choked.
"Good."
A gloved hand moved her pink curls off her shoulder and, taking hold of her arm, The Genius dragged Shorty through several hallways until they reached a door, presumably leading to his office.
"Get in," he ordered, his tone strict and face harsh.
She crept into the room, followed by The Genius.

"Where's Shorty?" asked Aro.
"I don't know," replied Puns, "Also, didn't we agree not to call her Shorty? You know she doesn't like it."
"Well, yeah. But she is short, and she's not here."
"I hope Shy's okay,"
"You know, I'm still not used to this whole nameless thing..."
"It's been over a year."
"Yeah and we're standing right where it all happened."
"Well, we always hung out here, why would we have changed the habit?"
"Yeah, I know, it's just – you know what I mean. I'm adaptable but this is pushing it, man!"
"I see that," Puns muttered.
"I heard that," grumbled Aro.
"So?"
A grin spread over the boy's face. Aro sighed. They went silent. Aro was tall, lanky, his skin tanned from spending his days outside working on archery and other skills. Puns was smaller in stature, he had a quick mind, and loved thinking of a logical answer to anything; like how The Genius could have possibly made the technology he did, I mean, the guy was probably seventeen, maybe nineteen, and Shy always said how he reminded her of someone she knew; she didn't have a million friends, and she rarely ever sought out friendships, she spent most of her time with her journal, her music, and her sketchbook, sometimes to the point of ignoring her best friend.
