Gisborne did have a point about the territories... Although the way he went about handling it was wrong. Stealing and betraying his family, using a legend to motivate those who didn't know any better... No man or woman should ever have to raise a blade against another, there are far more threats that lie within the territories for us to fight among ourselves. I fear that in some eyes of the locals that we are like Gisborne and his army, however we are not. Only three of the army that fought against us were arrested, the rest return to their normal lives. Gisborne has been sent into the mountains outside of the territories, fate is all Gisborne can pray for, he has no followers, and he has killed his friends. I hope justice is served as justice is due... As for the Rotek? Edrics wounds never fully healed, and his previous encounter with Gisborne's army has nearly taken his leg. He is now bound to a crutch and is relieved from his duties. The healers say he'll never battle again, but I have allowed him to live inside Starroks walls. Syndra... Dearest Syndra... She continues on to be a patroller for the territories, she is determined to receive Ronan's remains from Redmond Beach and give him a proper burial. I have refused it, for it has nearly isolated her. But Bigby has been good for her. Bigby losing his dearest friend among the hundreds of Rotek that were slaughtered, he has been of good aid to her. They both grieve the losses together, a new friendship has blossomed out of the ashes of death. Thane, a promising Rotek, of the finest I've ever seen. I fear this war has forced him to grow up too fast. Yet he seems to be taking it in stride, especially with the return of a new mentor. I've only ever seen Cornac with Thane, or alone in the libraries. I'm told he always carries his hammer around with him, that it's tied around his waist. It's thrilling to think that the Dark Hammer is to mentor the Roteks finest. They all have earned a season of rest. But in due time I will send them out again, our weather watchers inform me that snow will cover the grounds of the territories like a blanket... If only Starrok Palace had more recourses. We will make due I believe. We always do.
