[Red sky at night, Roteks delight. Red sky at morning, Rotek take warning... We have been betrayed by our own blacksmith. The man in the shadows, the black cloak, Gisborne. He has revealed himself to be the leader of his army, they serve under the Dark Hammer. He has taunted me with death, threatened me with torture. Yet my fears lie with those of my true brothers of the Rotek. I can only pray they are safe.] Thanes thought was cut off by Gisbornes booming voice. "We draw closer to the palace gates! Stay here while I approach alone, they will recognize me cloak and will open without question. That is when we strike. That is when we take the palace, TOGETHER!" Gisborne finished as he raised the legendary hammer into the air, the army cheered. "WHY??" Thane yelled. There was a silence, the rain continued to fall. Gisborne turned towards Thane, the entire army listened quietly. "Why betray the Rotek when it has been your home?! Your -" Thane started before Gisborne punched him in the jaw. "Silence. For many years we have been a mere pawn in a much bigger game, and we cannot win with the Roteks leadership! Elves taunt us! Dwarves refuse us... and everybody else SLAUGHTERS US!! These territories must be controlled Thane. Controlled by someone who conquers, who fears no mortal enemy.. No creature will disobey us.." Gisborne finished softly. The army cheered yet again as Gisbournes fist tightened around the hammers long hilt. "You're insane Gisborne..." Thane said as he spat on Gisbornes boot. He ignored it, yet turned to face Thane directly. The cheering still continuing. "Thane, this weapons legacy will strike fear into our enemies. It's past shall forge our future. Imagine Thane, the real Dark Hammer out there somewhere, hidden among the territories." Gisborne said excitedly. Rain dripped off of Thanes bruised and bloody face, he said "Gisborne. The Dark Hammer is a myth, nothing more than a child's tale." Gisborne looked at Thane once more, he grabbed Thanes collar and pulled him up to his level. "I found the truth. The legend lives, the library's of Starrok palace says so. And we both know, that the palace doesn't lie." Gisborne said as he shoved Thane into the mud. Gisborne started to recite the legendary tale "Before the days of the Rotek, every able bodied man and women fought to protect one another from the natures of the world. One man alone, using the coals of a seven headed beasts scales, forged a hammer in the caves of Turvor.. Never before has a fire been so hot, and every strike into the forge was a strike into his enemies. His passion led him to create the Rotek, by assembling the team he kept his name secret and took on his weapons name. Dark. Hammer." He finished, hoisting the legendary weapon into the air. The army yelled, the soldiers jeered and clapped and whistled. There was nothing Thane could do to. Gisborne placing the weapon down on a large rock, he took his helmet off and approached the city gates. Alone.
"Oh come on. There is no way this old tük is the legendary Dark Hammer" Bigby said to Rand. The rain was falling hard as Cornac still led the two Rotek men towards the palace. "Sure he's old, but the legend was brought to us long before he was alive." Bigby continued to mutter to Rand. Cornac kept walking ahead of them. Rand kept silent as Bigby continued. "The Rotek magistrate would have known, WE would have known whether or not-" Bigby was cut off by Cornac. "Just because your 'magistrate' failed to notice me does not mean I never existed, boy." Cornac said as he stopped at the edge of the woods. Bigby shot Rand a look, who responded with a wink. The three stood together as the rain dropped down on their faces and dampened their cloaks. "We are unarmed. We intend to fight without weapons?" Bigby said after a while. There was another pause as Cornac looked over to a large pine tree, he pointed at it. "Long ago, I stashed weapons beneath that tree. Never thought I'd need to use them." Cornac said. Bigby sprinted directly at the tree, both Rand and Cornac followed at a walking pace. Once the three men made it under the tree, Cornac started to dig around for his stashed weapons. "Only two swords after all these years..?" Cornac said as he pulled out two broadswords. Bigby snatched one and drew it. The metal was coated in a brown rust. Bigby sighed as he put the sword back in its sheath and buckled it around his waist. "They are rusted." He muttered as Cornac buckled the other sword around his waist. "They shall prove as mighty weapons to our enemies." Cornac said. Rand was left weaponless. "It is fine, I shall do without a blade." Rand said as he picked up a decently thick stick. It served as a good staff. "We now enter through a passage that even your current Rotek wouldn't think to seal. Let us proceed and get me my hammer back." Cornac said as he continued to the palace. Echoes of cheering was heard from a distance. T
