Diana's POV
Two to almost three days on the road and staying nights at hotels later, we finally made it to New York. We try to find another way to get to Lakeville without going through the city, but there was none. So here we are at a stop light, going out of the city on our left, with me getting bored, anxious to get to our destination. When the light turn green, I was getting excited, and within an hour or so, I get to see my new house/home. When we got out of the city, the scenery, with less traffic, became more greener with trees and grass all over the side of the road and some houses. It was quite relaxing too. There was one house that caught my attention. It was a three story wooden house with trees in the background and a beautiful metal gate as an entrance that goes around the marbled angle fountain to the wooden double doors. The front of the house have large windows that reached half way to the ceiling, with ruby red curtains clipped to the sides. The person who lived there must really have great taste. The architect was breath-taking. The grass was mowed and the bushes were cut to perfection. I wonder who lives there must be rich and what the inside looks like .
" We're almost to our new house, Diana! " Mom said excitedly and I just silently laughed at her behavior," what, don't you want to see it too? "
" I do. " I said after calming down. I grabbed my phone from the car charger, that we had in the back, and started to text Alexia.
*" Hey, we're re almost to my new house. Do you want a pic of it? "
*" Really? And yes send me a pic and how was the way up there? Was her response ten seconds later.
*" You already knew it was boring. And don't ask me again! " Aft that text, he send me a thumps up with a smiley face emoji. Fifteen minutes later, we had reached our destination and man was the house beautiful. The house was two story with a little concrete walkway as an entrance. It was creme color with marble pillars on the side. When we pulled to the side of our house, the movers had alreaIdy unpacked our boxes and furnitures and loading them in the house. I got out and took a pic of the new place and sent it to Alexia. A minute later she send me a heart shaped emoji. When I opened the front door, about a foot from me, I was greeted by staircases that lead to the upstairs bedrooms. The left side of me was the kitchen. And the right side was the living room, where the movers were setting up our T.V and equipments.
" Sweetie, your room is upstairs, to the right." Mom said from behind me. I turned around and give her a nod, before running up to my room. My room was beautiful. The walls were painted mint green, with white ceiling. On the floor were my boxes of books and other things. In the middle of the room was a wooden queen size bed, that was already made up, with nightstands on both sides and a makeup desk with a mirror to the right side. The bed consisted of a headboard with curved carvings. At the end of the bed was an 8 inch flat screen T. V., that was already set up, on the wall and to the right side of the bed, was an attached cushion bench with multiple colored pillows, that have book shelves screwed to the wall and white curtains clipped to the side, in front of the window that overlooked the backyard. To the right side of the room was an attached bathroom. And next to the bathroom was a walk in closet with a full length mirror. I lay my things on the bed and went downstairs to look at the kitchen and living room. When I got to the kitchen, mom and dad was unpacking the kitchen related things. They were almost done, so I went to check the living room area. The living room was already set up with a couch, two love seats and a glass table, that consists of remotes and stuff, in between the table and the T.V. The guest room is right next to the living room.
" Diana, do you want Chinese food for supper? " Dad said with his cell phone and car keys in hand, while mom was still unpacking.
" Sure. That sounds good to me and don't forget to buy some sushi. " I said walking to help her finish unpacking the rest of the boxes, which were labeled plates, silverware's, bowls and what not.
" How do you like your new room? " Mom asked while putting the plates in the cabinets.
I unloaded the cups from the box and put them up," I like it so far. "
" Do you have most of your things unpacked? "
" No, I was admiring my new room. "
" Well you better get started, before the food gets here. And your room has the best view of the backyard and the woods, out of all the bedrooms in this house. " I got done putting the dishes in the cabinets and went up to my room and start unpacking. By the time dad arrived with our food, I had already finished unpacking all of my clothes and my bathroom equipments. And finishing up the makeup session, which only consist of my mascara, eyeliner, a brush and comb and some of my jewelries. I plugged my phone and laptop charger in the wall plug lit and set the phone and laptop on to charge. After that was over, I went downstairs, to the kitchen, and set at the little table that was in the middle. Dad had gotten chow mein noodles, some stir fried green beans and rice with teriyaki chicken and of course, sushi. I grabbed a plate from the counter and got my picked, which was all and a chopstick and went to sit down.
"Mom, when will I start school? " I asked, eating my sushi.
" The day after tomorrow. " She said looking up from ber plate," and your father and I start work on that day too. The job I got, pays good money and that's how we got this house, alone with saving some."
" My friend, Joshua said he'll bring the other car and won't be here till tomorrow morning. " Dad said. Oh yeah, I forgot about dad's other car, the Honda. He left his Honda at our old place, so we could go in one car instead of two, so now his friend is bring his Honda as a favor for him. Once I was done eating, I kissed mom and dad on the cheek and wished them a good night and went up to bed. I didn't set my alarm knowing that I have no school tomorrow. Before I went to bed I finished unpacking, which were my books. At around 12 or 12:30, I finally went to sleep after putting all my books on that shelve next to the cushioned bench.
