Okay so kind of a filler chapter. DON'T MURDER ME!  Instead tell me your thoughts so we can be civilized people :]

Do you like more dialogue? more imagery? are the flashbacks confusing? Is the whole book confusing.

On the bright side, it's a fairly long chapter. btw even though it is a filler,

*** it does hint at A LOT of things*** :P if you ever read back later you'll be like  "OOH OOOH! THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOW!"

One more thing, I want to dedicate this chapter to Joecool123 for helping me out :) thanks! I really appreciate it!

Anyways, onward to the chapter...

Chapter 9

We stood there in each other’s embrace for a moment until Baxter broke the silence.
“Are you claustrophobic or something?” he asked dropping his arms to his sides.
“No, why?” I asked looking up at him.

“Well you just seemed really offset after coming out of the cabinet, frightened even, hence the hug, right?
“I was just scared about what would happen if he found me,” I replied, not elaborating on the subject.

“Oh. You shouldn’t have worried so much. He’s not that mean.”

“Easy for you to say, you’re friends with him. Anything could have happened to me.”

He shrugged, “Cousins actually. And I probably would have gotten in as much trouble as you.”

“Wait, what? Cousins, are you serious?!”

“No, I’m lying,” he replied sarcastically, giving me a dumb look.

I rolled my eyes at him, “I’m sorry, that was just a little unexpected. I mean I’ve heard of guys living with their moms but not their cousins,” I snickered.

He glared at me. “I work closely with him, so it’s just easier to stay here, but I have my own home,” he snapped.

I raised my eyebrows at his tone and nonchalantly said “Looks like somebody hates that his cousin is his boss. Who’s older?”

“He is and I never said he was my boss.”

“Is he?”

“Somewhat”

I burst into laughter, “That stinks, working for your older cousin. What is it, some small shop in a nearby town or something?”

He shrugged, “’I’ve found my own ways to cope with it. And do you really think a small shop would be paying for this house,” he said stretching his arms out giving me another are-you-an-idiot look.

“Okay, so probably a very large business.” And probably very famous business that I could easily look up once I find out this so called master’s real name. I smiled to myself feeling giddy and confident. This was just getting easier and easier. “Oh really, you’re over it? Like what? Because it sounds to me like you’re not over it yet.”
