— Puppies —

"It's been a while since I've come to this park," Eunlee admitted to Seungcheol as they were casually sitting on the grass, covered by a checkered patterned mat, and eating snacks.

Seungcheol invited Eunlee to go to the park yesterday, at the gym while they were doing their usual workout routine.

To most of the people at the park, they would have thought that the two were dating and simply spending time together as a couple - like what most couples did when they came to this park. But, the two weren't dating - much to their disappointment.

Eunlee couldn't believe that they somehow managed to become really good friends. A few months ago, Eunlee thought that she was out of his league - but it seems that the odds have changed.

Eunlee wouldn't mind dating him, and kind of assumed that he feels the same way as she does. Which he completely does, and everyone knew it. Just by the way, he looks at her. But, why hasn't he mentioned anything to her yet?

Seungcheol would only call her pretty, care for her, tell her to take care of herself. She wondered for days when he was going to ask her to be his girlfriend. But, what made her wonder more was did he even consider dating her?

"Eunlee, are you okay? You seem a little bit off today," Seungcheol commented as he looked at the girl with a worried face.

"Yeah, I'm alright," Eunlee answered. "There's just plenty of things going on in my head. But, I'm alright. Don't worry about it."

Seungcheol nodded, even though he clearly wasn't convinced by her words. But, before he could mention anything, the two heard puppies barking.

Eunlee turned around to the sound of the barking and saw a bunch of puppies playing around on the grass with each other. There was a little girl as well. She was playing with the puppies, which made Eunlee assume that the puppies were hers.

Soon, one of the puppies came up to her and Seungcheol with a ball in its mouth.

Eunlee looked at Seungcheol, who was already looking at her, with an uncertain feeling. She didn't know what to do, even though she knew what she wanted to do.

Seungcheol took the ball from the puppy's mouth and threw it at a certain distance that was long enough for the little puppy to catch it. The puppy came back with the ball and dropped it in front of Seungcheol, but was staring at Eunlee instead of Seungcheol.

Seungcheol looked at Eunlee and asked: "Do you want to throw it?"

A wide smile grew on Eunlee face as she nodded and took the ball from his hand. Eunlee was so happy that she got to play with the puppy and loved the response she got from the puppy. Eunlee had a soft spot for puppies and Seungcheol could see it.

I have a soft spot for puppies as well, honestly. I love puppies as much as I love unicorns. Anyways!

After playing with the puppy and thanking the little girl for allowing them to play with her puppy, the two decided to head home since the Sun was starting to go to bed and the two were getting tired.

"Did you have a good time?" Seungcheol asked.

Eunlee nodded happily before replying: "Definitely. The puppy was so adorable. My heart melted at the puppy's bark and his eyes.

"Aw, so you only liked the puppy and nothing else?" Seungcheol asked with a pout.

Eunlee laughed at his cute face and shook her head. "I enjoyed the food you brought as well. The fried chicken was really nice. Honestly, I guess doing anything with you would make me happy."

"That's good to hear," Seungcheol said with a smile on his face. "Because I feel the same way."

Eunlee blushed at his words again and shook her head a little.

"You keep saying words that make my heart flutter," Eunlee muttered - hoping that Seungcheol didn't hear a word she muttered.

As they exited the park and began to walk home, they passed by the community centre. There was a poster about a puppy adoption day at the park next week.

"Do you want to go?" Seungcheol asked.

"I would, but I wouldn't be able to adopt one," Eunlee replied. "My brother wouldn't appreciate it having a puppy in the house.

"Well, we can just go there and check out the puppies," Seungcheol convinced her. "I'll be fun. Imagine all the cute puppies you'll get to see.

"I don't know," Eunlee replied. "Plus, we've already skipped gym sessions for today - even last week. You've been skipping gym sessions as well -"

"I haven't," Seungcheol replied with a grin.

"What? When?" Eunlee asked

"I always go to the gym," Seungcheol replied.

"But you're alone," Eunlee said in a sad tone.

"Don't worry about it," Seungcheol said. "Anyways, we could go and play with the puppies then go to the gym afterwards, if you want.

"Sure, let's do go, next week."
