I've gotten the opportunity to get to know an adorable couple recently... Seriously, I swear that their love story came straight out of a Nicholas Sparks' book or something sappy like that. ;)
He sailed across the sea
searching for an adventure
Though the people pulled him back
and denied him of his dream
he shook his head and sailed
sailed as far as he could see
He was left all on his own
with no one to confide in
but the compass in his mind
was all he ever desired
Seven days it would take
to reach the big ole' city
but only four it took
to reach the smaller town
He docked at the port
with no one on his mind
He avoided the eyes
of watchers around
Distractions were useless
and people were fools
Once again, all he wished for
was the deep, open sea
with him alone
and only his dreams
as companions
but, surprisingly, fate
had other plans for him
and he fell for a girl
with bright sparkling eyes
Soon, a night's stay
turned to two
and so on, so forth
and the image of the city
had vanished from his mind
Years later,
here they are
still in the very same town
with a love so strong
and a bond so tight
and all they ever want to do is sail
together
