nightmares compared to dreams
the sleepless thoughts
filled with monsters and demons
in the night
fidgeting under covers
imagining a world
where the fears come to life
...it's haunting...
the images that are shown
the people who are present
but the morning always returns
and awakens the deep slumber
until the next restless night
seemingly worse than the others
...a dream...
is what it's called
poisoned with laughter
and smiles
and a perfected reality
a world that taints the real society
that is destined to be lived
...and it seems to hurt more...
knowing that the sun will soon rise
believing in the hope
for a few brief moments
because it's much easier to live in denial
than to face the inevitable truth
