Chapter Nine:

Gracie POV

Pregnant.

The word rang throughout my head.

Pregnant. I was pregnant.

Again.

My head was spinning as it felt like the floor underneath me was about to crumble. How could i be so careless? I could i be so selfish? I still have a lot of work with Rachel and now i had to think about another person. I know i would be well off being that my family is famous but i don't want to think of it that way. I want to think normally and not go to money as a solution because it's not. Money is just a thing. I wanted to raise my kids right. Plus, i'm only 20 and Rachel is just turning 2. What am i gonna tell Robbie? He doesn't even know i'm in here. I'm all alone.

Giving it up wasn't an option of mine. I take care of what's mine. I know what it's like to be lied to about the family you think you have but it's not really where you came from. I don't wish that on my own children so that isn't an option. I have to be responsible. I have to take care of what's mine. I would have to get through this and Robbie would have to help me.

I started to page a nurse so that i would be able to use a phone. I had to tell Robbie right now. That was the first step into this crazy ride.

"What do you need," a nurse named Nurse Rae asked as she came into my room.

"I need to use the phone to call my husband."

"I don't think that's-"

"I have to tell him i'm pregnant," i cut her off frantically.

She nodded her head and walked out of the room, coming back as quickly as she left with a white cordless phone in her hand.

"Dial 9 first," she instructed before she left me alone with the phone.

Dialing 9 first, I punched in Robbie's number, my heart speeding up as i listened to the phone ring.

5 rings later, he picked up, his voice groggy and confused.

"Hello?"

"Robbie!"

"Gracie? What's going on? What's wrong?"

Tears started to stream down my face.

"I have so much to tell you. I need to tell you a lot."

"Babe calm down. I know where you are."

"You.. you do?"

"Mhm," he said and a i could hear the yawn that was sneaking up behind it.

"Your mum told me. She thought i knew. Why didn't you tell me? I would've flew home to be there for you."

"I thought that that would be selfish of me to take you away from your music."

"It's selfish of you to not tell me anything babe. We're in this together. You know that."

I sniffed.

"I know."

"What else do you have to tell me?"

My heart started to race again.

"Don't be mad at me okay?"

"I could never be mad at you."

"I'm pregnant."

It was silent on the other end i thought he hung up on me until i heard the sheets ruffle on the other end.
