Chapter Fifteen
Harry POV
Unlocking the door, i stepped through the threshold, putting my keys in the bowl on the small table by the door before closing it behind me. I sighed, running my hands through my long, unruly hair. Kicking off my shoes, i took note to how quiet the house was tonight. I knew i came home late, but i didn't think it was that late.
Turning the corner into the living room, i saw that it was empty as well. Everything was cleaned up nonetheless, the room looking better than it did when i left this morning. Something was up, i knew that as i continued around the house, looking through every room. Coming upstairs, i saw that both Darcy and Harry's doors had been closed, meaning that at least they were in there. Noise coming out of Harry's room had confirmed that for me. I peeked my head into Damian's room, seeing his small sleeping body looking more frail than before. I sighed again, worrying about my son.
I picked him up out of his crib, careful not to disturb his sleeping state. I walked around the room with him, rocking him back and forth as i just stared at him. He was so small, so frail that i feared for him. I knew he had complications, being that Aria wasn't even supposed to have him. But that only made him more special to me, more loveable.
"You don't know how much i love you," i talked to him.
"You have your mum's hair though. Wish you had mine. Good thing is that you at least have my eyes. Girls love that. You'll learn that later on."
I smiled down at him, more at myself as i pictured him walking through school, being a lady killer. Or even having some of the guys turn heads. I didn't care how he came out or whoever he would bring home. He was beautiful.
I kissed him on top of his head, pushing back some of the brown curls that had fallen in front of his face before placing him back into his crib, his body still sleeping.
I finally walked into my room, closing the door behind me as i saw Aria on the bed still up. She was hiding something behind her back, her face scared.
"It's just me," i tell her, already smelling what she was hiding.
She sighed, taking out the small bowl of weed from behind her back.
"I'm sorry. I know you hate this but..."
I shook my head.
"I can see how stressed you are."
She nodded her head, hitting the bowl one more time before blowing the smoke out. I know i loathe smoking but she made it look so sexy. Anything she did turned me on, the slightest of things. She put the bowl on her bedside table, patting my spot right next to her. I sat down.
"I need to talk to you."
The way she said those words put me on edge.
"What about?"
She sighed, running her hands through her curly hair before pulling it back into a bun.
"How much do you love the kids?"
What kind of question is that?
"You know the answer to that. I love them more than life itself. I love them just as much as i love you."
Her eyes started water, something i knew the weed didn't do. She was about to cry. Something was wrong.
"Why? What's wrong with the kids?"
