Chapter 12: Secret places at school.

{Joey's POV}

After running down some streets... I finally reach the school. I guess this is where I'll stay tonight. I start to cry, thinking about what life will be without my mom. I could call my dad... but I haven't seen him in 52 billion years.

{Shane's POV}

I'm at the only place in the entire world where I feel safe. And that place is, as weird as it sounds, at school. This is also the place where I met Lisa for the first time. And I feel save when Lisa's around me. But that's just because Sawyer likes her. He told me.

**** Flashback to 2 1/2 weeks ago****

"Hey dumbass... how's your daddy doing?" Sawyer says, standing in front of me, ready to attack. "Hi Sawyer... he's great... thank you for asking." I say, trying to smile. "Well Yaw, no time for talking about your dumbass family... what are you doing with that chick who's always with you." "What? Do you mean Lis-" "Yeah... ofcourse I mean Lisa. You're so stupid. Listen dumbass, Lisa is mine. Do you understand." I nodd. I know I can't win a fight with him. "Okay... now go to your daddy." And with that he walks away.

**** Present time ****

That's why he wouldn't hit me when I stood somewhere with Lisa. He can't hit me in front of the girl he likes. I start smiling, thinking about how I can use Sawyers love for Lisa. But than I hear someone crying. I look around the corner and I see a crying Joey.

{Joey's POV}

"Are you okay Joey?" I turn around and see Shane. "Shane! I'm so happy you're here." I run towards him and give him a huge hug. And than I remember his legproblem. But it's too late. We fall, I'm on top of him and I look directly into his beautiful blue eyes. I shrug it off, stand up and help him to get up.

"What happened? After I left?" Shane asks. I explain everything to him, and he nodds every time to show he's following you. "And where are you going to stay?" he asks. "I don't know... I guess outside is my new home." I look down, wishing I had my own bed back, my own room."I can call my mom and ask her if you could sleep at my place." Shane says, smiling wide. "Thank you Shane!" I hug him.

{Shane's POV}

I have to tell Joey I like him before he is going to live at my place. "But Joey... there is something I have to tell you." I break our hug and sit down on the bench. "Sure... you can tell me anything you want." He smiles.

Once again, I look directly into his green eyes. The eyes who make me melt when I look at them. The eyes from the person I like. "Okay... Joey, I know we don't know eachother that long and all but... I like you. More than I like Lisa. I don't like you as friends.... no, more than friens.So I really really like you and-" I want to finish my sentence, but I can't talk with Joey's lips on mine. So I give up and kiss him back, feeling the same as I did when we played truth or dare in Joeys old house.

{Joey's POV}

"I really really like you" He likes me, in a romantic way? My stomach explodes with butterflies. "and-" I start kissing him. It took a second, but then he started kissing back. The same butterflies from half an hour ago appear and they say what I already know: I love Shane.

After kissing for at least 10 minutes, I stop and rest my forehead on his. "Shane... I really really like you too."
