Chapter One: Could this get any worse?

I lazily close my eyes and flop down into the warmth and coziness of my pillows. However, what seemed like two minutes, ended up being ten. "Y/N! You better be awake!" I could hear my mother holler from downstairs. A sound of a groan and an unholy screech came from my mouth.
I unwillingly tear myself from my bed. I really don't want to go. New school, new people. Which means, I don't have any friends. Due to my mothers new job, we moved, and I was transferred to Maria High School, home of the Titans.
I make my way to the coral blue bathroom, just across the hall from my bedroom. I quickly go through my usual morning routine of brushing my teeth, straightening my hair, and washing my face, and lastly applying makeup. The skinny jeans I was planning to were too tight for the warm weather of August, so I stuck with black jean shorts, and my red converse, along with my usual seafoam green hoodie. My backpack is slinged around my shoulder, and I hear the bus passing my house. "Oh my god, of all days!" I sigh to myself as I rush out the door, in a hurry to catch the bus. I felt my phone buzz as I turn the corner to the bus stop.

Mom: I leave for my business trip today, the key will be under the faux rock, and there's a couple hundred bucks on the counter for you. See you in October! I love you, call when you need anything.
At this point, I was trying to catch the bus, so I didn't respond. However, instead of missing the bus entirely, I barely made it.
Every nerve in my body shook as I scanned violently for a place to sit. I made it to the back, but there was this guy in the back that I probably shouldn't bother, he looks like someone that would cut me if I dared to look. I could feel everyone grow impatient as I hurried to find a place, but no one looked at me but the bus driver, far up ahead. "Sit," a dark, rather fed up voice spoke to me. "What?" I managed to spit out as the boy in the back spoke. "I said sit," after he ordered me to sit, he grabbed my shoulder, trying to pull me down, but instead, I smacked his hand, before it even touched me and sat myself down. I dusted my shoulder and wiped my hand off as the boy rolled his silver eyes and put his earbuds back in his ears, blasting the music I could hear.
I glanced at him, taking in his physical features. The way his black hair covered his face, and how his eyes were almost glued to the passing scenery outside. I seemed to have been looking for too long, and he could tell. "What's your problem?" he snapped, ripping and earbud out. I turn a billion shades of red, which could clearly be seen, as I have a pale complexion.
He furrowed his eyebrows and took a good look at me. "Hey I've never seen you before." his voice trailed off, and a sinister smirk grew on his porcelain face. "Oh I get it, new kid. Did you see something you like, or have you always had a staring problem?" I scoff and roll my eyes. "Have you always been a douche bag, or is it more of a newfound passion?" a sarcastic tone that happens to roll off my tongue easily. He sat for a moment as I stood to get off the bus, as it came to a halt, dropping the high school kids off before the snot nosed kids. I stomp off the stairs of the bus, and make my way inside the large brick building. I would say it looked like a prison, but to be honest, the cedar benches and daisy garden outside with the branches of oak trees blowing in the wind made it look like a nice campus, no joke. Even the cement beneath my feet seemed to have been polished for perfection. Classrooms could be seen from the large glass windows from outside, but I headed inside to see them up close. I run to the office, a girl with silver hair and glasses handed me my class information at front desk. I mutter a thank you and make my way to my first class, Biology. I make my way through the halls, and see nothing but groups of friends laughing and stopping abruptly to stare at me as I struggle to find my class. Mr. Jeager? Weird last name. Almost like a crazy scientist or doctor. One that could cure a whole city of the plague without suspicion.
Eventually though, I found my class before the bell rang and took a seat. A couple of people were already in there, so when the bell rang, more people flooded in. I got up and asked the teacher where he wanted me to sit. After digging through a thin stack of papers, he cleared his throat. "Levi Ackerman, raise your hand please," I heard a familiar sigh from across the room as the boy lazily raises his arm and flop it to the table without looking up from his book. "Over there by him. If he gives you any trouble, trust that I can fix it," the man smiled and adjusted his glasses.
I look down as I trudge my way to the back of the classroom. The boy named levi sat beside me at the long table, seating two. And at the other table there was a girl with dark brown hair in a pony tail and thick glasses, laughing really loudly, but almost in a positive way. Next to her was a guy with blond hair and really really thick eyebrows. All of Levi's stuff was scattered on the table, but he tidied up before the lesson actually started. I could already feel myself doze off, and we haven't started yet. This is going to suck major ass.
