Chapter 18

"Grayson I-I can't right now." I said stepping back. "I think I need to take a break for awhile." He looked at me, this way. I can't explain it.

"Whatever." He said turning around to walk away. I grabbed his hand. He looked at it and pulled away from me. He walked to the car.

"Hey Morgen, what's wrong" Sofia said walking over to me. Hand in hand with Cameron.

"Oh nothing, um. I think it's time to go." I said pointing to the car.

~Grayson's P.O.V~

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuucckk!" I said yelling at myself, hitting the steering wheel. "You're a fucking idiot. '6 other guys to' why would you say that?! You're an idiot that's why. Stupid, stupid, stupid."

I look up and see Morgen pointing to the car. They started up to the car. I watched Morgen as she looked up at me. Then looked down. They all got into the car. Morgen sat in the passenger seat. And Sofia and Cameron said in the back.

"Today was great. I can't wait to see what tomorrow is going to be like" Sofia said.

"I say tomorrow, we go on another double date. Like go to the movies and see Phoenix forgotten!" Cameron said

I looked at Morgen, she looked up from her lap. And just stared out the window.

"Or... Maybe not." Cameron said.

"Well, we can just got explore Hollywood babe. Like just you and me." Sofia said.

With that,I started the car. And 30 minute drive, felt like forever. I keep looking at Morgen. And every now and then she would look at me, but when I looked at her the same time she looked up me. She would look away. Most of the time she stayed looking out the window. It was a quite car ride.

"Well, we're home" I said. Morgen​ was the first one out. By the time we got out and to the front door. She was in her room.

"Is she okay?" Cameron said.

"I hope" I said looking at him. I looked at the clock is  was 3 in the morning.

"Well, we're going to bed. Goodnight Grayson." Cameron said grabbing Sofia's hand and walking to my room

"Goodnight Grayson" Sofia said

"Night guys" I said looking at the couch. "Well, it's just you and me old friend." I said to the couch. I grabbed a blacker and pillow and laid on the couch. I turned on the TV, and watched to until I fell asleep.

I woke up to crying. I looked at my phone it was 6 in the morning. I walk to Morgen's room and opened the door, she looked up at me. She said tears running down her face. I ran to her, and wrapped my arms around her, she just sat there and cried in my shoulder.

"I'm so sorry" she tried say in-between breaths.

"Shh, it's okay. I should be the one sorry." I said laying down in the bed. She laid down on my chested and cried for a little longer

"I don't want you to think that I don't care about you. I care so much about you. I just not ready for anything right now." She said calming down

"I understand babe. I really do." I said rubbing her back.

"I'm afraid that I'm going lose you."

"Morgen, your not going to lose me. I promise." 

-----2 days later-----

"Thank you for coming, and staying with us." I said to Sofia and Cameron.

"We had fun" Sofia said. "It sucks that Morgen couldn't be here"

"I know. But she had an interview, and had to run some errands" I said we all hugging and they went on their way. I decided to clean up the house. I heard the door open and closed.

"Morgen?" I said hoping it was her

"Yeah?" I heard her say well setting down her keys.

"Where did you go?"

"To run errands I told you." She looked up at me. She looked different, but I cant place my finger on it.

"I know. But like where?"

"Um, why does it matter?" She added an uncomfortable laugh at the end of it.

"Whatever. Never mind." I walked away.

~Morgen's P.O.V~
----skipping hours back---

I was walking around the mall, I needed to clear my head. I've been out already for 4 hours. But I need alone time. And I had some money to spend, so I wanted to go out. I decided to go into Sears. I was in the women's clothing, and I heard a voice that I could never forget. I walked around trying to ignore it, but it followed me around. I finally decided to walk towards it and once I realized who it was. I regretted my decision.

"Morgen? You look great! How have you been?"

"Jake... Thanks. You do too. And okay I guess." He walked up to hug me, I tried to walk away but I couldn't move.

"We should catch up" he said

"Um, no." I said walking away. I smiled at myself​, I realize that the only person I wanted to be with was Grayson. I wanted him, I know he wants me. But I can't right now. I have to figure things out first. I drove home after, feeling happier than ever. Knowing what I wanted to.

"Whatever. Nevermind" he said walking around. As he walked again, I grabbed his arm and pulled him into me. I grabbed his face and pulling his lips to mine. He kissed me back. He pulled away and looked at me.

"Why?" He said

"Because, I felt like it" I said smiling a walked to my room. I closed the door, and waited for him to come through the door. Just like I knew he would, he did. He opened the door and closed it. He jumped on the bed.

---- Skipping the sex ----

I woke up the next morning to an empty bed. I looked around the room. And I found a note

"I had a great time. One of the best ;) I had to ran a few errands. I'll be back in a few hours. I know that if you don't want to be mine in anyway right now, but I'm here and I'm ready for you whenever. I promise. I want you to know that, I know this is crazy, but I love you."

"He what?" I said to myself. I took the paper and throw it into my nightstand. I heard the door open, and then close.

"We're home!" I heard Ethan say. I ran out of my room and into the living room. Ethan was standing there with open arms. I ran into them and hugged him as tight as I could.

"I've missed you guys!" I said

"We missed you too!" I look over and saw Anna. I let go of Ethan and went to Anna.

"I have so much to tell you" we said at the same time. We laughed. We sent that whole day talking about everything. I didn't tell her about the note yet. We had fallen asleep and I woke up to my door opening. I looked at the clock it was 3 in the morning. I looked up and saw Grayson. His eyes were red and puffy. He looked at me and walked away. I got up and walked to where he was going. He sat in the couch in the family room. I sat down next to him. He started to cry. He laid his head on my lap. I sat there playing with his hair.

"What's the matter?" I said quietly. He calmed down a little. "Where have you been? Did you just get home?" I said and he nodded his head.

"I went to the doctors... And they found a tumor in my head. I have stage 2 cancer."
