Chapter 8

I woke up and looked at the time 7:00 I sat up and grabbed a note pad wrighting down what I learned last night
"Flirting... Winking..slight touching" I mumbled while wrighting down everything a few minutes later Laf woke up he looked at me and yawned "dibs on showering first" he mumbled while getting out of bed "ok" i said my eyes still glued to my note pad He got out 15 minutes later (Alex guessed) I didnt notice until he flicked my head "ow!" I put my hand on my head rubbing it "what?" I said a little annoyed "your turn its 7:25 you have class at 8:00" I rolled my eyes "okok.." I shut my note-pad and got up "what were you wrighting down?" Laf asked I looked to the side and kinda blushed "just uh...facts " Laf kinda laughed "ok?" I grabbed some clothing and got in the shower ,once I got out I looked at the time I didn't have time to dry my hair I dried it the best I could with my towel  and put it up in a messy pony tail before I left Laf called out to me "Mon ami I made you a Coffee" I looked at him confused before noticing a coffee machine behind him 'when did we get that?' I thought  I decided to shrugged it off and ran to class I walked in a few seconds before class started I sipped my coffee starting to feel the lack of sleep hit me I sat beside Burr and he looked at me "Lucky you made it here before the bell rang" I chuckled and Looked at him "Yeah I couldn't even dry my hair properly" Burr rolled his eyes "I've noticed It's a mess" I blew a little bit of hair out of my face "I know" Washington then walked into the class and it started I got out of classes at 2pm Jefferson and I ended up arguing again I almost got punched out as well but Washington stopped us before it got that bad we had an Essay due in two weeks I said bye to Burr as I walked to my dorm and flopped on my bed putting in ear buds about a half an hour into my essay i guess I didn't realize Laf called out my name he went over to me and tapped on my shoulder I looked up at him pulling an ear bud out and stared at my screen again and started to type down some notes "Alexander!!" I shook my head and looked up at Laf "What? Yes?"

"Did you even hear me?" I nodded and looked back at my screen I was already 10'000 words in before  my laptop was shut on me I moved my hands before it closed on them "HEY!" I looked at him annoyed lucky it saves automaticly for me "Listen to me Alex!" I sat up and crossed my arms "Alex my friend how much sleep did you get you look like shit" I looked to the side and stood up to and looked in a mirror I had bags under my eyes my hair was a mess despite that it was up in a ponytail and I was in a sweater ad slacks.

I grabbed a brush and brushed my hair and tied it back in a neat pony tail "Better?" Laf rolled his eyes and before I could get back to my bed he grabbed my arm "Hey!!" I manged to grab my note pad (Which is basically just a small writing book) "We are meeting up with the others I'm dying to see Herc and you have a job which involves John" I blushed slightly and actually forgot about he Told me to put on some nice jeans (which I listened) and just as I did i didnt even get  a minute before I was  pracually being pulled my Laf I opened my note pad and looked at facts again mumbling some of the facts to myself "Herc!" I realized I wasn't getting dragged anymore and looked up closing my notepad I saw Laf hugging Herc and kissing him John and I made eye contact he smiled and waved I smiled slightly and walked over to him "Hey" Laf let go of Herc and looked at me "John you should show Alex around and show him the pet shop you love so much!" John smiled his face a bit red "Right! I was meaning to show you my favorite places here! what about you two?" he gestured to Herc and Laf "Herc needs me for Modeling he's working on a outfit for class" John shrugged "For once you are putting clothing on him instead of off there's a first for everything" John smirked as Laf blushed along with Herc and Laf mumbled something both John I didn't hear and Herc laughed John shrugged it off and grabbed my wrist "Come on I want to show you the pet shop before it closes! I've only been in this part of town many times as a kid and I always loved the pet shop here"
I smiled as he dragged me to the store where we were greeted by Peggy "Peggy!?" John let go of me and hugged Peggy she hugged back "Since when did you have job here?"     "Since I got to the collage" John looked confused as Peggy just chuckled "you two here to see the animals?" John nodded "We just got some new type of turtles here if you want I can get one out for you" John gasped and nodded I assumed he liked turtles John grabbed my hand as we walked over to the tanks I slightly blushed as he did "Oh my god!! Alex look!!!" He ran over just as Peggy took out a small turtle "They are so tiny!!" John stopped beside Peggy "Oh my god its a Eastern mud turtle!" John held his hands out as Peggy gave the turtle to John his eyes were shining I chuckled thinking about how cute this was Peggy heard the bell of the door meaning a customer walked in she excused herself as she walked away "Alex the turtle is about 3 - 4 inches it's so small" Alex nodded "So you're a fan of turtles?" John nodded "I feel like I'm cheating on Phillip right now though" my heart stopped for a sec 'Does he have a boyfriend?' I looked at him a bit hurt "Is he your boyfriend?" John looked at me and shook his head "What? No? He's my turtle!" I sighed in relief John thankfully didn't notice.

I walked away from John afyer a few minutes since all John was fixed on was tr Turtle I looked at the other animals I looked at a German shepherd  laying down I gasp and walked over I kneeled near the cage the dog perked up and waged its tail I pet it through the bars after a few minutes Peggy walked behind me "his name is Max" I looked up at her "Max? Cliche name" she rolled her eyes "i picked his name thank you very much and he's a "rescue"" she rolled her eyes at that  " he was about to be put down in the shelter but our Manger was kind enough to bring him here the shelter isn't even close to a rescue" Peggy mumbled  Max seemed exsited to see Peggy she opened the cage door and the dog licked her face as she pet him I pet him as well after a few more minutes we put Max back and John walked up to both  Peggy and I the biggest smile on his face "god I want another turtle but Phillip will kill that poor small turtle" I laughed thinking about how cute he was  "we should go" i said as John nodded, we said bye to Peggy as we walked out.
