I knew the way Zach worked. He was like a window; you could always see right through him. I re read the letter and then caught it, his play on words.'we're starting off where we ended' My eyes widened as I looked up.
"Guys.... I know where they are." All three of them shot looks to me. Aj walked out of the bathroom and sat down.
"What's up?" He asked.
"You only missed two chapters of this fanfiction and the plot twist."
"This what?"
"Oh.... um nothing." Tessa said, hiding the secret before winking and author Zee (I'm sorry this is just funny tho.)

I drove down the blank highway. California was so nice but also dead, like everything outside of civilization. Emilio was sitting in the passenger seat next to me, he looked tense. I reached over to grab his hand and I squeezed it gently. I felt him relax and squeeze back. Y/n and Jake were sleeping in the back seat and Aj was listening to music through his headphones. Even though I was silent thoughts were racing through my mind.
Where was Grayson?

Was he okay?

Did Zach really kill the others?

A tear slid down my cheek silent as ever. I felt a warm hand wipe it, then squeeze my hand. I looked over at Emilio and he was smiling at me, tears threatening to leave his eyes too. I knew we had to be strong for Jake and Y/n now, he did too. I smiled back at him and squeezed his hand again, we drove again in silence.

We pulled up to the place where they had to be "Start where we ended." I shut off the car and woke up the others, they had all fallen asleep as we were driving. It was late so I wasn't surprised, I was tired myself. We all got out and stretched it was a long way out of Los Angeles so it was nice to stretch. I took out my phone to use for a flashlight and so did everyone else. I turned it on and led the way into the abandoned camp ground.
