Chapter Two

Todd and Estelle?

Todd was sitting on the sofa in the living room watching TV. I sat down next to him, smiling like a maniac. Todd Dylan Collins. Sigh, he was the only other person in my family that had a short (ish) name. My grandfathers wanted my dad to pass down their names to Todd and Ethan. Todd got his first name from my father and his middle name from my grandfather. For the curious people, my father’s name is Terry Todd Ethan Dylan Collins.

Me and Ethan are nearly 16 now and have to prepare for our powers. My mother was a witch and my father is a werewolf. Normally, this was never to happen. A werewolf and a witch marrying was breaking strict laws, which was a reason why my other grandmother never spoke to our family.

Heather had already got her powers and has caused serious damage with them. Todd has only just got his and he wasn’t as crazy as Heather.

“Wot up sis?”  He said, seeing me sit down next to him.

“Crazy, happy feeling.” I said simply. If I acted hyper to anyone else in my family, no one would understand. Except for Todd. Which was why Todd was definitely my favourite sibling.

“Er?” He asked, confused slightly. He continued to play his game of Call of Duty.

“I know something!”

“About?”

“You!”

“Wha’ about me? What is it? Does someone like me or somethin’?”

“Maybe.”

“ELECTRA!” Estelle came running into the room. “You crazy woman! How dare you! How could you tell me that-” She blushed like mad at the sight of Todd.

“Yes, Estelle? Oh and it was only a joke.” I said, taking in her red curls. Estelle was my pretty best friend. We had known each other for 12 years now and were practically sisters. I grinned, seeing her face. Her face was the same shade as her hair and it was hilarious to watch her become even more red.

“We’ll talk about this later!”

“Bu-”

“LATER!”

“But we’re moving in 2 days.”

“I meant over the phone, dumbass.”

“Hello, ladies. I am here! Whaddya want to tell me, Electra?”

“Oh, erm, ‘someone’ likes you.” I made bunny quotes and glanced at Estelle.

“Ooh who?”

“Es-”

“No one!” Estelle shouted, clapping a hand over my mouth.

“Mmmmrr!!”

“Bye then!” Todd grinned, catching on and as Estelle dragged me out of the living room. Todd winked at Estelle while waving at us.

“What were you thinking, you maniac?”

“Nothing.” I swayed, grinning. “If you want him, you have to make a move before someone takes him. Todd’s popular with the girls you know. And if you need any advice, feel free to ask me.” I point a finger up at the ceiling and then at me.

“Why are you pointing at the ceiling? And since when have you had so much experience with boys?” Estelle shook her head so her red wavy locks flew into my face.

“Says the one that has only had a couple of boyfriends.” I smile again.

“Stupid smiley person.” Estelle muttered.

“Whaddya say!”

“I said, ‘stupid smiley person’!”

“Argh!!!” I attack her with a pillow, hitting her with precise aim.

She screamed and threw a pillow back at me. And the pillow fight began!
