Chapter Eight
The House
Todds POV
"Hm, just about a few more miles. I thought that we should take the longer way so you know how to get to your school. That's your school there." Dad pointed out an entrance near the top of a sloping road. There were some kids hanging around by the sign of the school, the type that think they're cool for hanging around looking like a gang. Great.
Dad pulled over onto the kerb.
"What's going on? Why have we stopped? Are we here yet? If we are, then good, I need to phone Estelle. LIKE RIGHT NOW!" I don't know why, but Electra was practically shrieking.
"Flat tyre." Dad answered. "Where are-"
"Yeah, we know. Have to get out and find the tools to change it. Yadda yadda yadda." Ethan sighed and then slumped back.
"Ooh, I found the tools and the spare tyre." I'm so excited. The quicker the tyres are fixed, the quicker I can unpack and explore the house and neighbourhood.

Electra's POV
Dad turned around in the driver's seat and faced us. "Do you want to go straight to the house or to-"
"TO THE HOUSE WE GO!" , what the hot fudge!!! why did i say that?...oh crap now theyre going to-
'YOUR a lilttle wierdo , you know that lil'one' why........i wonder what ive done to annoy her now jeesse lousie.
Dad drove off and pretty soon we were on the main road. I made a mental note of what we passed - a couple of hotels, a fast food restaurant, two or three petrol stations and many houses. It was about 5 minutes until Dad drove off the main road and onto a road that branched off. I peered at the sign and could only make out the first letter of the road name and the fact it was a road and not a street. Dad stopped the car and I peered out the window.
Dad must have more money than he lets off because the house was much larger than the ones we had seen when we first drove into the area. It had to have at least 4 bedrooms and was well-kept.
Hmmmm wonder where the biggest room is?
