It was early in the morning, and a girl with brown hair was still asleep. The sun was already rising, but the girl kept the blanket over her to keep the sun out of her face. She turned away and faced the wall.
Just seconds later her alarm clock rang, causing her to get up and shut it off. The girl rubbed her eyes and got out of bed. She looked at her calendar seeing a date circled saying 'First day of NEW school.' The girl sighed a frown on her face was shown when she looked up. "I can't believe its today." She whispered.
"Lilly!" A young woman's voice, which we can see to be her mother, called out to the girl. Lilly looked at her door knowing the voice came from the kitchen. "Hurry up honey, your going to be late for school!" Lilly's mom yelled again.
"Coming mom!" Lilly yelled. She got changed to her regular clothes, which was a bright purple shirt, a violet skirt, white socks, and black shoes. She then went to her chair and grabbed a red sweater and put it on. After that she opened her draw and inside were ribbons of many different colors.
"Let's see." Lilly said to herself pulling a red ribbon and a pink one. "Pink or red." Lilly put the ribbons near her hair to see which would make her stand out at school. After a few seconds she decided to pick red and put it on her hair. Lilly went downstairs with her backpack in hand, and sat down at the table and ate her breakfast.
"Lilly, are you going to be okay walking to school yourself?" Her mother asked.
Lilly smiled and nodded. "I'll be fine mom, don't worry." Lilly hugged her mom and walked to school. Lilly looked down walking her way to Salado High. "Would people like me? Would they hate me?" Lilly was asking herself many different questions about going to her new school. She thought it would be best to stay quiet and smile.
When Lilly got to school she faced the door to the school's entrance and hesitated to open the door to the school. "I mean how bad can a new school be?" She asked herself the same question her mother told her yesterday. Once she opened the door, she greeted by students laughing at two boys chasing each other.
"BENJAMIN! TAKE ME TO THE DANCE!" Mark yelled.
"MARK NO!" Benjamin yelled.
Lilly stood there in shock not sure if she should laugh or face palm at this. "Oh god." She sighed. Well her first day went downhill from here.
