Lilly looked at her new friend, hearing the offer. "A-Are you sure?" Lilly asked.

Frances nodded. "Yeah, my parents don't mind having people over, plus I want to show you my drawings and maybe do homework together. What do you say?"

Lilly thought about it for a bit; it would be nice for her to visit Frances's home, she could know more about her, and she probably might not be one of those girls from her old school. "Sure, I would like to go." Lilly said.

"Awesome!" Frances cheered. She grabbed Lilly's hand and together they ran out of the school to get to Frances's house. Once they got to the house, Frances pulled out her house key and let herself and Lilly inside the house. "Well here is my place." Frances said.

Lilly stepped inside the house and looked around seeing how nice and big it is. "Um where are your mom and dad?" She asked.

"Both working." Frances replied. "My mom left like an hour ago, and my dad works in the morning." She explained.

"Oh, so its just you?" Lilly asked.

"Yep." Frances replied.

Lilly looked down and felt nervous being alone in a house with another person. Frances saw how nervous her friend was, and comforts her. "Hey it will be okay. I promise." Frances said.

"Are you sure?" Lilly asked. Frances nodded her head, and slowly Lilly started to feel a little more comfortable. The two sat down on the table and decided to work on homework. Their homework took about a few minutes, since Lilly had a few pages of homework, due to her being new, so Frances just did the homework she had, and decided to do the rest later. After their homework Frances turned on the TV, and let Lilly watch whatever she wanted, while she went to the kitchen.

"Hey Lilly." Frances said. "I made some cookies, if you want some." Frances showed off a tray filled with chocolate chip cookies.

Lilly looked at the cookies, as the smell went around the room. "Wow, they smell good." She said.

"Thanks." Frances replied. The two both took a cookie and Lilly smiled as she enjoyed the cookie.

"Wow!" Lilly said surprised. "These are so good. You can bake really well." She said.

Frances blushed, "Aww thanks Lilly." She said. Lilly smiled back as she Frances ate most of the cookies. After their snack they went up to Frances's room, Lilly smiled seeing Frances painted walls and shelves filled with stuffed animals and books. Frances kneeled down on the ground a grabbed out a few notebooks.

"Are these your sketchbooks?" Lilly asked.

"Some are." Frances replied. "Most of them are story ideas and writing drafts for stories I write."

"You write stories?" Lilly asked again.

Frances nodded. "Yep, I post them online for everyone to read, though I want to start making comics, but." Frances stopped and showed some of her random sketches. Lilly looked at them, and saw Frances's drawings and they were decent. But wasn't anything like her drawings.

"I think there good, it just takes a while before you get the hang of it." Lilly said. Lilly smiled looking around her new friend's notebooks, and had thoughts of collaborating with Frances, but she was nervous to ask thinking it might not be a good idea. Though she would plan to tell her soon, just not today.

After an few hours of hanging out, and getting each others phone numbers, Lilly walks back home from Frances's house, and was surprised it was only a few minutes from her place. She went inside the house and puts her stuff down and lies down on her bed, waiting on her mom to make dinner.

During dinner, Lilly told her parents about her day in school and how she got to spend time with Frances after school. "Oh Lilly! I'm so proud of you making friends." Her mother said hugging her.

"See Lillian, I told you, your first day of school wouldn't be so bad, and look a new friend on the first day." Her father said. Lilly smiled and blushed at her parent's nice words for her day in school.

Suddenly, Lilly's phone, which was in her pocket went off, and was nervous of picking it up. "Um." She said nervously.

"Honey, it might be your friend go pick it up." Lilly's mother said. Lilly smiled and got up to go pick up her phone. When she did, she saw a text from Frances.

To: Lilly

Hey on Saturday, my friends and I are heading to the movies! I got you an extra ticket incase you want to go! Text me back a.s.a.p!

-Frances

Lilly looked at the message and felt nervous, she just met Frances and spent time at her place, now is invited to the movies with her and her other friends.

"Was that your friend Lilly?" Her mother asked. Lilly nodded and explained her text to her mother. Her mother smiled and faced Lilly.

Lilly smiled and looked at her mom. "Yeah, Frances is inviting me to the movies with her friends, but I'm not sure if her friends will," she paused, thinking it will be a bad idea meeting Frances's other friends.

"Lilly, your going to be fine, I'm sure Frances's friends will like you too." Her mother said hugging her daughter.

"Yeah, but what if they get jealous of me and her being friends, and lots of other bad things happen!" Lilly complained feeling the anxiety taking over her.

"Lilly. Lilly. Calm down, everything will be okay." Her mom said. Lilly took a few deep breaths and looked at her mother in the eyes.

"Are you sure?" Lilly asked. Her mother nodded. Lilly looked at her phone again and decided to text Frances back.

To Frances:

Hey, it's Lilly! Sure I would love to go to the movies this Saturday!

-Lilly

Lilly then went back to her room waiting for Frances's reply, by getting into her P.J's to get ready for bed, and saw Frances's reply.

To Lilly:

Nice! I'll pick you up in the morning; my mom will be taking us. My friends will meet us up at the theater.

-Frances.

Lilly smiled and texted Frances back.

To: Frances

Okay! Thanks Frances!

-Lilly
