Ava
I got home and was exhausted from all the socializing I had to do. I didn't mind, though. A lot of people approached me and talked to me, but Neymar was the most interesting. It seemed like he actually cared about what I had to say, and I haven't felt that in a while.
I was laying on the couch when my phone went off all the way from the kitchen. I sighed dramatically before getting up to answer it.
It was my boyfriend.
"Hey, Ava! I've missed you, how are you?"
"I'm doing well, thanks. How are you doing, Elliot?"
"Missing you too much. Unfortunately nothing lights up my day like your smile did. And nothing gets me off like you do," he said, chuckling at the last part.
I didn't say anything, trying to make it clear I was not amused by the sex joke. I think he took notice, because he quickly changed the subject.
"Anyways, have you made any new friends yet?"
"Maybe."
"Who?"
"Umm, don't freak out," I told him. "But Neymar did chat me up today. He's really a nice guy."
The silence coming from his end of the phone made me uncomfortable. I thought he'd be excited that I made friends with the Neymar Jr, but I guess not.
"Mhm. Just make sure he knows you're mine, and don't let him get his hands on you."
"Got it," I said with an eye roll. I wandered back to the couch and sat down with a sigh.
"What's wrong? Missing me," he said flirtatiously. "I miss you. A lot. Can't wait to catch up when you get back. That night, oh that will be an amazing night. The image of our bare bodies pressed together makes me-"
"I really like it here in Barcelona," I told him in a desperate attempt to change the conversation.
"Oh, thats nice. Anyway's, gotta go. Love you," he said quickly. He's lucky he hung up before I could reply, because I would not have told him I loved him back.
I remained on the couch, all sprawled out. I couldn't help but think that all Elliot wanted to do was talk about sex.
That's not the way he should be treating you, Ava. He doesn't truly love you, and he's making it obvious.
I soon realized how exhausted I was and pushed away all my negative thoughts, it was a bad habit. Tomorrow would be a long day with lots of promised training, and maybe some distractions.

Rafinha
I woke up the next morning in a way better mood, thankfully. I was happy to get to training, I knew it would distract me from Emille. Strangely, on my way to the training facility, I found myself thinking more about Sergio's sister. Ava.
I rolled my eyes at my foolish self and turned up the music louder as a lame attempt to distract myself. These next couple of weeks are important for our team, and I can't afford to have any distractions. Whatever. You're probably just overthinking everything anyway. Don't forget, you have a tendency to do that.
I pulled into my usual parking spot next to Ney's precious red Audi. By the looks of it, it seems as he were waiting for me. I got out of my car and was greeted with his foolish names.
"Princesa!" Like the child he is, he jumped onto my back and struggled to stay there as I started moving in various ways in efforts to get him off. Luckily, I succeeded and he was soon on the hard pavement. "Oi! Rafa why are you doing this?"
"You deserve it," I said and chuckled and I watched him struggle on the ground.
"What did I do?"
"I'm not sure, but you probably did something to deserve it."
We both laugh as I help him up and venture inside. My mind was almost completely off Sergio's sister, until Neymar had to bring her up again.
"So...what did you think about Ava?"
I rolled my eyes and scoffed. "I already told you."
"Mmmmm," he says in a confused tone. "I don't remember."
"Nonsense. I already told you," I reiterated.
"Yes, Rafa, but I might need a reminder. So much on my mind these days I'm very forgetful, eh?" He laughed loudly and playfully, poking at my sides.
"Since when were you a morning person," I muttered under my breath.
"Speak up, Rafinha. I can barely hear."
I pushed open the locker room door to find about all of the team there half naked, while the other half was completely naked. This really is the life I guess.
"Never mind it, Ney."

Ava
I woke up early the next morning and went for a three mile run. I took it easy, as I knew today I would be meeting with new coaches and I need to be in a good state for our first day of training.
I returned to my apartment and made some avocado toast and eggs. I scrolled through my social medias trying to notice as many fans as I could. I reserved time to text my friends and teammates back in America and my friends I left back in Wales. I decided I should call Elliot after our brief conversation the night before.
"Hey," Elliot answered, seeming out of breath.
"Hey, what's up? I thought I should call."
"Uh..yeah. Hey, I'm not doing much," he answered between pants.
"Bad time?"
"No, no! I was just contemplating on wether I should call you or not." I could hear him roll out of his obnoxiously loud bed.
"So what have you been up to lately?"
"Not a lot," he answered vaguely.
"How's school? Are you keeping up with your studies? Hopefully you're doing better, now that your mom is out of the hospital and well again."
"Yeah, yeah I'm for sure doing a lot better. Listen...uh, anyways, I kind of..um I have to go," he said. He sounded a little distracted, but he can be like that sometimes.
"I, I'm sorry. I thought you said this was a good time?" I asked in a confused manner.
"Yeah, no it's okay. I just realized I should get going. I have some things I need to get done. I've been too distracted by the absence of your presence to do anything," he said, sounding a little too witty.
"Oh, okay. Call me when you get a chance?"
"Yep for sure. Bye, love you."
"Yep, talk to you la-," and he hung up.
He was acting strange, and I wasn't sure if I liked it. I contemplated what to do over my long, warm shower. Should I confront him? Who knows, maybe he's had a rough week. Can never tell with him sometimes.
