Chapter One

“You aren’t getting out this time Lucy.” The man said closing the door after handing my tray of food and letting me out of the jacket.
“Your mom got caught and you know your dad can’t think of anything else when it comes to his Queen.”
I listened as the locked the door. I stretched my arms out while listening to the changing of the guards. I had a plan, and even i my parents did come, they would find me waiting at there place, the place i want to call home but i can’t. I have been in here to long.
I kicked the tray aside and stood up at the door, a small slit was opened, so i could see the guard, it was a women, she was wearing the norm, bullet proof everything.
“You know its really lonely in here.”
    The guard said nothing.
“It is sad that the nurses won’t even let me draw, i have learned my lesson and i won’t do it again. It is just that drawing helps calm me, and when i am not calm i have panic attacks, really bad ones.” I let my voice get soft.
I looked at her, she had a soft look on her face. I smiled.
“Could you at least get me a notepad and a pencil.”
She looked down both ends of the hall, most likely to see if anyone was there. She reached into her pocket pulling out a small notebook and a pencil.
“I can’t leave my station. Just take this.” She didn’t even look at me as she handed it to me through the slit in the door.
“Thankyou.” i said before sitting back down.
I wasn’t going to kill myself, or even try. This time i was in for the escape, to prove to my parents i could do it.
I opened the notebook, it was empty. I started writing a note that i would leave them.

Dear useless little guards who think they can keep me locked away.

By now you should see that i am long gone, and you are reading this hoping that you can find me, but you won’t. I am not coming back. You of course should know that. The next time you will see me is when i’m causing mayhem. And tell the female guard watching me after lunch that i said thanks for the notebook and pencil.

                                Love
                                Lucy

I waited about an hour until the woman walked away, there was always a blank when no one was around, it was when they were changing.
I stood up and reached my hand through the slit in the door, i reached down for the lock messing with it with the pencil until i heard a click. I smiled and brought my hand back throwing the pencil on the notebook. I pushed the door as hard as i could until it opened. I walked out into the hall shutting the door behind me. No one was there. I knew my way by now.
I turned around and started running. The guard would be there soon. I kept running until i reached the elevator, come to find out i wasn’t the only one with a plan for escape. Another girl about my age in a hospital gown was trying to unlock the elevator. I shoved her out of the way doing it myself. I must’ve scared her. She knew who i was though, she should already be scared. When the elevator opened i stepped in, i knew i was going to ditch her, but when i looked back at her she had a look that i couldn’t recognize.
“Are you coming or what?” i snapped.
She stepped in as the door shut, she must’ve been surprised by  my comment. I hit the button for the second floor.
“What about the first floor?” she squeaked.
“They will catch us, we are going to jump from the window. Don’t worry sweetie you’ll be fine.”
She nodded. The elevator dinged as we reached the second floor. No one was there when the door opened. I ran forward, the girl was following behind me like a little puppy dog.
I reached one of the windows. It was pouring outside. I pushed it up as hard as i could until it popped open a crack. I pushed it until it was enough so i could wiggle out.
I looked at the girl again, she was too short to reach the window, so i laced my hands together so she could step up to the window.
    “It isn’t a big jump.”
She nodded wiggling out. I waited until I heard a thump then climbed out myself. I had done this before so the shock of my bare feet hitting the cement wasn't new.
"This is where I leave you. I don't know who you are. But the next time I see you in might how be so generous. "
I turned around and sprinted in the direction I knew would take me to my parents.
       "WAIT!"
I stopped and turned around to look at her.
        "What's your name?"
"Lucy. Daughter of Harley Quinn and The Joker."
        I turned and ran.
