I was on the couch next to Jane. She looked down, she looked liked the saddest person in the world. The t.v. was on the news. I wasn't watching it much but it was nice to at least know what was going on.
As i expected the news of Robin's death was aired. I heard Jane chuckle next to me. I put my focus back on the tv. It was on Wayne enterprises, Brucey was making a little speech. I smiled and payed attention wanting to see what he was going to say. He stood at a podium, he seemed to have tears in his eyes. I laughed at this, guy was so sad about losing Robin, of course he wouldn't say that here, not without his disguise.
"Recently my daughter has gone missing. After the death of her mother she was struck with depression, so she was admitted into an asylum as she tried to harm herself."
Jane looked up, i could see the anger in her eyes. The lied that were being told.
"And her along with another child have gone missing from Arkam Asylum. If anyone knows anything about her whereabouts please contact me or the authorities."
I stopped paying attention and looked back to Jane. She was smiling, not a smile of joy, but that of a madman. One that reminded me of my father, and my mother.
Right then my mother walked in, she was wearing a red and black robe and had obviously just woken up. She took one glance at Jane and knew what had happened.
"If batman wants his daughter back we'll give it to him. Of course it will be a gift to Bruce but batman will be the one who has to fight."
My mother nodded and walked back to her room. Right then Frost and a few of my fathers other henchmen walked in. Frost stayed in the room with me and Jane while the rest went to the back of the house where a meeting room was set up. Behind them was my godmother Posion Ivy.
"So this is the girl i have heard all about." she said looking at Jane. "Take good care of her Luc."
She looked at me and winked.
"What was that about?" Jane asked.
I shrugged and got up and went to my room with Jane behind me.
"You know it didn't take long for my mother to become like this." I said closing my door.
"hmm?"
"Most of it was the shock therapy my father made her go through, but my mother had the hint of craziness in her before that, which is why she accepted it. I could see it in your smile just now."
"So?"
"I don't want you to drown in it, my mother and father have each other to keep themselves at least a bit sane, you need to find something that won't make you completely insane. "
She looked at me and nodded, she knew that my parents on their own were completely insane and couldn't make good choices, but with each other they had some common sense.
"I think i found it."
She took a step toward me and kissed me.
