All I had ever wanted was my parents to be proud of me. All I wanted was there approval. It is pretty hard to live up to the greatest villains ever. They set the bar pretty high for me.
I stayed awake that entire night. I couldn't sleep at all. And to be honest I didn't want to. I rolled out of bed deciding I didn't want to try and sleep. I threw my pajamas off walking into my closet.

I decided to go with something that was a little more me. I put on a pair of ripped up skinny jeans that fit really snug with a studded belt, a black crop top, an overcoat that ended at my knees but didn't close it, and a pair of lace up boots, I went to my mirror outlining my eyes with my glitter eyeliner, and a clear coat of lipgloss, I ruffled my hair up making it look like I didn't do anything. I grabbed my phone and walked to the living room. My mother was in my fathers lap, he was whispering something in her ear. I didn't mind really, this wasn't the first time I had seen something like this.

"I'm going out."

My mother looked up, I could see the bit of worry in her eyes. My father twirled her hair and whispered something else into her ear. She smiled and the worry went away.

"Take your gun with you, just in case." My father said looking at me with a wink.

I nodded going into the coat closet we filled with weapons and taking my black handgun. making sure the safety was on and shoving it into my belt, the coat concealing it.

"I will be back." I said taking the credit card my mother held out.

I walked out the door into the small hall to the elevator. I didn't know where I was going but I knew I couldn't stay up in my room all night.

I was somewhere in Gotham. I was passing up stores left and right, usually I would've went shopping trying to find my style, but tonight I felt different. Eventually I got hungry again to I settled on a Japanese restaurant where they cooked the food in front of you.

I walked in being seated idmeadiatly. I was also seated with another girl who looked my age, she looked on edge and familiar, I probably knew her before I was locked up. She had long brown hair covering her pale face. I couldn't really see any other facial features.

I placed my order. The girl said she was waiting for someone, but after a while her after no one came her shoulders slumped and she placed her order. For some reason I didn't pay attention to the chef, rather I glanced at the girl, she was staring off into space wringing her hands out.

After we both finished our foods they gave us our separate checks. I placed the card in my, I looked at the girl, she stared at hers for a minute, when the waiter came back with my card I took her check handing him my card with it. The girl looked up at me, she looked surprised, she had a bit of makeup on, so if I knew her I might not be able to tell.

"i don't want to end my meal with a girl being yelled at. Why did you come here if you can't pay."

She looked down. "I was waiting for someone, they ditched me."

I was handed my check back, the girl looked up at me again, she seemed surprised when she looked at my face.

It was the face people made when they realized who I am.

I smiled. "I never usually see someone twice, if I don't know them I mean, but if I see you again, I won't be so generous."

I got up and walked out of the restaurant back out into the city. I walked on my own for a while until I could feel someone following me. I made my way into an alley, I turned around to see two men, they both had smiled on their faces. I pulled out my gun cocking it and pointing it at one of them. I had my finger on the trigger when they both fell to the ground. Someone was standing behind them, it was him, the man who practically created my father. I lowered my gun just a little. I couldn't see behind his mask but I knew who he was. he took it off, revealing his face to me.

"I would put that away if I were you. It is nice to see that you can protect yourself, but if anyone else saw it they might take advantage of you."

I put it back in my belt, he wasn't trying to apprehend me.

"You alright?"

I nodded.

"What is your name."

"L-Lucy." I stuttered. I didn't know why but I was afraid of him. He didn't seem to recognize myname.

He nodded. "Well you are safe, now if you excuse me I must go."

He put his mask back on and practically disappeared.

I ran back out into the light. I was making my way home when I could feel someone following me again.

I whipped around pulling my gun out. I had it pointed at the person's head, it was the girl. She put her hands up in surrender.

"What do you want?"  I said lowering my gun.

"i wanted to say thankyou." she glanced down. "I saw what happened with my father, I wanted to make sure you are alright."

"Your fa-" I first I thought she was talking about those men in the alley, then I realized she was talking about the bat.

"He was suppose to meet me in the restaurant, but it seems he forgot about me, again..."

I didn't know why, but this girl pushed a soft spot. And what I was about to do, I knew was crazy.

"Do you have a place to stay?"

She shook her head. And I don't know why, but I grabbed her hand and dragged her back to my place.
