Accidentally ; H2O Delirious

Fifteen.

By the time we reached the restaurant I already wanted to shoot myself in the face. Delirious' mom kept looking me up and down and then sighing in disapproval. And my mom kept doing the same thing to Delirious. We just stayed close to each other and tried to ignore it as best as we could.

We were seated at a large round table, perfect for everyone to see each other and talk. Fuck.

Lunch didn't go as bad as I had thought it would, although his mom kept asking if I was pregnant. I kept telling her no, but when she looked down at my stomach she made a face that said "Yeah right."

Well great, now being fat was added to my list of insecurities that had decided to pop up today.

My mom kept asking Delirious about his ear piercings. "Don't you think you're a little old for that?"

"Mom," I sighed. "He's 20, that's not that old."

"But if he's going to be a father soon..." His mom added.

"Oh my God, I'm not pregnant!" I said, exasperated.

"Are you sure?" His father asked.

"We are 100% sure that Y/N is not pregnant," Delirious said.

"It wouldn't surprise me," my father said, "This was such a quick wedding and all... and what ever happened to the Josh guy?" I groaned. Here we go. "He was such a good guy, perfect for you Y/N. Such a shame he broke up with you."

I was just about to tell my father off when Delirious' dad cut in, "Are you saying Jonathan isn't good enough for your daughter?"

"Well when you put it like that, yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying." Oh fuck. This was not going to end well. All four of them stood up and started yelling at each other over who was good enough for who. Delirious and I just sat there watching the destruction uphold.

He leaned over and said, "Want to escape?"

I nodded, "Best idea you've ever had. But hang on a sec." I stood up on top of my chair and yelled, "SHUT THE FUCK UP." All of their heads snapped and looked at me. "Dad, you need to stop talking about Josh. He is far from perfect; he cheated on me as well as many other things. I broke up with him."

"Other things?" Delirious asked, but I just kept talking.

"Delirious is a way better guy then Josh could EVER be, ok? He IS good enough for me. Just because he can be an ass sometimes doesn't mean he's not a great guy. AND MOM, you KNOW what Josh did and you STILL WANT me to be with him. What the hell's wrong with you? You always told me you wanted better for me; well Josh is just as bad, if not worse." I tuned to Delirious' parents, "Mr. and Mrs. Denis, I am NOT pregnant nor do I plan on being in the near future, and I did not trick you're son into marrying me,"

Delirious laughed and whispered, "That you know of."

I just kept going, "Why can't you guys understand that we love each other? All we want to do is be together." I didn't know where this side of me came from, but I kind of liked it. Even if I made the last part up.

Delirious stood up on his chair and said "Yeah! What she said!" I laughed, what a tool.

Apparently my speech did a lot of good, because all of the parents turned to us and started yelling at us for making such an irrational decision. They weren't wrong.

We hopped of the chairs and Delirious grabbed my hand and said, "Run."

So we ran.
