The Guy With A Gun

Chapter 6

It felt like we were driving for hours.It was now night time. I could tell I was far from home. I was starting to regret my choice of running away.

Jason: Okay.

Jason stopped the car and opened the backseat where I was sitting. He had a flash shined in my faced just like his father once did.

Jason: I'm taking you to the abandoned house.

He grabbed my hand. I resisted.

Jason: C'mon now, don't back out now.

He unloosened his belt on his pants. The guy with a gun pulled my hair to where I was on my back, and shot Jason in his abdomen. Blood splattered everywhere. I screamed to the top of my lungs as I saw his stomach explode. The guy with a gun climbed into the driver seat.

The guy with a gun: Where are you from, I'm taking you back home.

I was horrified. I didn't want to go back but I needed to...I had to.

Skylar: What's your name?

The guy with a gun: You answer my question, and I'll answer yours.

He put the car in gear.

Skylar: Rhode Island.

He drove off.

Skylar: Your name.

The guy with a gun: Matt Jenkins and what's yours.

I was astonished, he helped a guy kill his father, steal a car, and almost rape me, but he didn't know my name.

Skylar: Skylar.

Matt: Lastname.

Skylar: Laine...why did Jason do that?

Matt: He was drugged up.

Skylar: What do you mean?

Matt: You know, drugs, we were at a  party when his dad picked us up and he had to pull your first kidnapper's car over. He went crazy and shot up his dad, whipped you, and even drugged you too.

Skylar: He didn't seem drugged.

Matt: I seem scary to you don't I? That's just like Jason not seeming drugged.

I didn't answer.

Matt: I'm not the scary one. I was scared for you...I didn't want to see you hurt. So I killed my best friend for a stranger.

A tear drizzled down his eye. One started to form in mine.

Skylar: Take me home...I need to see my mother.

Matt: We won't be in Rhode Island for another 12 hours.

I closed my eyes and made myself fall asleep, I knew it would be a long ride.
