I gave him my address. He dropped me off. I knocked on the door. No answer. I turned the doorknob, the door was open. As I walked through the house I saw pill bottles everywhere, unpaid bills, and trash. I walked upstairs to my bathroom. I opened the door to find an eviction note in my mother's hand with my mother face down, cold in the toilet. No...no...no.
This couldn't be. I bolted out of the house to Matt's arms. I began to sob.
