-Toby's P.O.V.-
We spent the next 3 classes sitting beside eachother as we laughed and talked so much that a few teachers had to separate us :D.
I was soo glad to have Skye back that I couldn't help but ask her to skip school with me and go the tree during lunch.
"What??" Skylar whisper-shouted. "But I can't skip school, I'll get into trouble! And what if my parents found out?" She answered looking frightened. I rolled my eyes at her and begged, "Come ooon... If they ask, just say you were showing me around the school."
When I finally managed to persuade her to go, I took her hand and ran through the trees to our tree since I knew she wouldn't really go willingly. As I got there something weird caught the corner of my eye, I walked over to a rock in the river and found a sharp blade with dried blood on it. I looked over to Skylar, "Hey, Skye! Do you know what this is?" I asked as I examined it before she came over and took it from me. "Uhh" She replied, staring back at me with a hint of regret in her gorgeous sapphire eyes. She slowly rubbed her arm, trying to think of an answer but flinched immediately.
"Did you??" I asked quietly as I walked over quickly. Skye tried to avoid me and shook her head violently. "Give me your arm.." I sighed quietly as I held out my hand, waiting for hers. She hesitated before slowly giving me her arm. I rolled up her sleep and gasped.
"Why??" I inquired as tears began to fill my eyes.
Skylar started to sob and shrugged as she sat on the grass crying. I went over to her and hugged her tightly, "It's fine, it's okay..I'm here now, I'm here for you.." I shushed as she cried louder. "Why......did you...leave??" She managed to say through her sobs. "I.....don't know..." I whispered through my own tears.
I honestly knew why I left. But I couldn't tell her. Yet. It would be too dangerous and I couldn't risk her precious life.
~5 hours later~
-Skylar's P.O.V.-
I cried for about an hour until I phisically couldn't anymore. When I stopped, Toby wiped my tears off and offered to go to his house because I couldnt go back home since it was still school hours. "No thanks... I'll just-"
"We're going even if I have to carry you the whole way!" He answered sternly and picked me up bridal style. "Toby!!" I laughed as he ran into the forest, running into a few trees on the way. After running about 15 meters he put me back down and started breathing heavily. "Nope...no...you're gonna...have to walk...." I laughed again and shouted, "Race you!" while I got a headstart and ran ahead, not even knowing where. "Skye! No fair!" I heard Toby shout behind me but I didn't stop.
Suddenly the sharp end of a big branch hit me in the head and I fell to the ground as I groaned in pain. Toby ran over and rolled his eyes playfully as I chuckled, "oops". He helped me up and we walked all the way to his house in silence as my head hurt too much that I couldn't concentrate on anything.
