Chapter 9: Standing at the End

Meanwhile, what do you think happened to Hoseok?

He's been at his office for days. He hasn't slept for a week. He hasn't eaten for days. All he does is work, drink and go to clubs. In short, Hobi is living in misery. The scars that Jungkook left with him was deep. But at least he knows that he deserves it. After all he has done, only a psychopath wouldn't get mad at him. Hoseok left Jungkook to study in States. His parents has always wanted him to be an entrepreneur, but never had the money to make Hoseok go to school. That's when he met Jungkook. In one of his part time jobs.

|FLASHBACK|

"Good morning Sir! May I take your order?"

"Ah yes, it would be one iced caramel macchiato, with additional caramel syrup please... Hoseok-ssi,"

"Oh yes Sir. In what size would you like your drink?"

"Venti. And uhmm...your name plate's slanted" Jungkook chuckled.

Hoseok fixed his name plate and discovered Jungkook was smiling at him. That smile. That damn smile. Hoseok delivered the drink to Jungkook's table.

"You are one cute guy," Jungkook mumbled, smiling to himself.

"You too." Hoseok whispered, feeling embarrassed.

"So, you work here huh?"

"Yeah, you know part time job"

"Ohh, guess I'll be here often then, got to go sorry! See you!"

"Oh yeah! See you! But what's your name?"

"It's Jungkook!" Kookie yelled as he exited the door.

That's how it all started. They never knew that, that coffee shop Hoseok worked in would be their "hangout place". They never imagined that they would be each other's first love. But that's what they say right? First loves, never come true.

(A/N: I'm not against first loves, okay? Never had one, yet)

They seemed so perfect, like soulmates. But what exactly went wrong? Why haven't Hoseok contacted Jungkook for four years?

"Hello? This is Jung Hoseok speaking. How may I help you?"

"This is Namjoon, Jungkook's father. Can we meet for a moment?"

"Oh yes Sir. Right on time! I'm meeting Jungkook later at our favorite cafe—"

"Don't bring Jungkook. I want only the two of us to meet."

"Oh okay then Sir." Hobi kept his phone in his pocket and looked at the little red box in his hands.

"Today's the day!" Hoseok thought.

"Have a seat, I'm not going to beat around the bush so here it is. Take it" Namjoon said while he gave him a thick envelope.

"What is this Sir?" Hoseok wondered while opening the envelope.

"That's 1 000 000 dollars. And a ticket to America for your whole family. I want you to break up with Jungkook."

"I-I'm sorry Sir but I don't quite understand what you mean—"

"I heard that you come from a poor family, huh? Break up with Jungkook when you meet him to—no, go straight to airport immediately after—"

"Whatever you say sir, I will never leave him"
