He pulled into the parking lot and parked the car. She looked over to him from the passenger's seat and couldn't help but smile at him as the sides of his lips curled into his little cocky smirk he does whenever he catches her looking at him. "Look at him...How can you not just get lost looking at him. He's beautiful."

"You ready?"

"Yeah." She reached for the car handle.

"Whoa, whoa, wait I'll get it." He jumped from his seat and jogged around the front of the car. He opened her door and ran his fingers through his long blonde hair then held his hand out to help her out of her seat.

"How does he do that..." she took his hand and stood up out of his blacked-out Camaro. As she stood her knee length lavender sundress softly fell into place.

"This way my lady." He said while raising the crook of his arm out. She softly placed her hand onto his fore arm and walked beside him.

"So Colt...Where exactly are we going?"

"Now why would I spoil the surprise at this point?" he said as left side of his lips raised and he winked down at her.

TWO DAYS EARLY

As she put the last of her books and papers in her book he offered her a hand to stand. She stood without accepting his offer throwing her bag back on her shoulder.

"Why are you here?"

"I asked myself that very question every day...then I met this beautiful girl at the library and it all made sense."

She felt her face get hot and the tips of her fingers began to tingle. She tried to speak but the only words she could get out was,

"Thanks."

Colton laughed in one big burst and brushed back his hair then put both of his hands in his front pockets. He stood there smiling with the left side of his mouth and just looking at her as if he was mesmerized by her.

"Well, have fun where ever you were headed in such a rush. I'll see you around Jo." he said walking away.

"Jo?" she questioned.

He stopped and turned back around but slowly walked backwards as he spoke. "Yeah. Like Jo March from little women...You're feisty." He winked and turned back around and continued on his way. "what just happened...Jo??? Who gave him the right to give me some kind of nickname. And why is he here? Why is he so obsessed with me? What happened to me? Why couldn't I fricking talk." She stood motionless replaying the last 5 minutes over and over dumbfounded. She finally composed herself and walked over to her next class.

The next day she sat on the bus with a million questions from the day before racing through her mind. She pulled her book from the library from her bag. She hadn't even started reading yet, so she began reading. She had only gotten past the first paragraph when her phone buzzed.

Phil: "Hey is it true?"

Confused Caelee hesitated with her response, "Is what true?"

Phil: "That you were selling cheat notes to tests?"

Caelee: "What? No! Who said that? Is that why they went through my locker?"

Phil: "Amy from Spanish. I was talking to her while waiting for the bus and she said you and a bunch of other students got busted for selling cheat notes for tests and they all had their lockers searched"

Caelee: "I went to the office and they said that I didn't do anything wrong and that they just had to search just in case...But no, it's technically not true. I didn't sell anything."
