CHAPTER 7
ABDUCTED!
"Captain!" Felix exclaimed as Brahms, Anasazi, and Draconis were whisked away by the Transporter beam.
"Get the shields back up! Now!" Commander Shelby Barked.
"Transferring emergency power to the generators... Shields are reassembled, but they only have twenty-five percent strength!" Brex said.
"Commander, the Jarvanian ship is moving towards the wormhole!" Felix said.
"Target their impulse engines! Fire at will!" Shelby ordered. "We can't let them escape! Brex, try and lock onto the Captain and his group! Emergency transport!"
"I... It's no use, Commander! They have put up a scattering field, I can't lock onto their transport patterns!" Brex said.
"Phaser fire on their impulse engines is proving ineffective!" Felix said. "Their impulse engine subsystem is too well-fortified!"
"They are going through the wormhole!" Keal'Dran said.
With that, the Bajoran wormhole opened up, and swallowed the Jarvanian Dreadnought! Captain Brahms, Anasazi Zeriah, and Draconis Sky'thonar were gone!
"We're being hailed by the Enterprise..." Kiska said. "They are telling us not to pursue. Starfleet's orders."# # #
Brahms was roughly thrown into his cell by several guards in armored exo-suits. He hit the floor hard, face-first as they raised the security field.
"BE GOOD IN THERE, WHELP!" One of the guard snapped as the group left.
Brahms wiped the blood from his nose and forehead, his face set in a scowl. He couldn't believe it! What a cheap trick! Beaming him off of his own ship while it was damaged!
"Dammit!" Bhrams cursed, slamming his hand down on the duranium-plated floor in frustration.
"...Is that you... Brahms...?" A voice asked. Brahms looked up, and saw Draconis and Anasazi. Anasazi was out on the floor getting his bearings, while Draconis was chained to the wall like a mounted-up trophy, out cold!
Brahms got to his feet, helping Anasazi sit up against the wall of the brig cell. He had some cuts on his head with friction burns on his arms. There was also some blood underneath the small claws on his hands. He put up a fight before being taken into the cell.
"Didn't I tell you...?" Anasazi said.
"We can play the blame game later." Brahms said. "Right now, we have to figure out how we can get out of this mess and stop your father before he does anything else drastic." Brahms started examining Draconis for any leathal injuries. He had some electrical burns on his skin, but nothing lethal. He must have been electrocuted by prods of some sort. He then started examining the cell, looking for anything he could pry loose off the wall. "Any ideas?"
Anasazi got onto his feet slowly, as he didn't have his wind back. "Let me try that wall, near the floor. Just don't let the guards see us." He pointed to the wall on Draconis's left.
"I'll watch your back, then." Brahms replied, as he pried the panel off. "Tell you when they are coming."
Anasazi got up, and started to hot wire the circuits as Brahms watched the outside of the cell with vigilance. "That was such a cheap tactic, though..." Ansazi hissed.
"I second that." Brahms replied.

Deep Space Nine
As the fleet gathered, it seemed like everyone was in a panic. DS9 had taken a good amount of damage, despite it's post-dominion war refits! Starfleet was now getting together a coalition between the Romulans, Klingons, the Dominion, even the Cardassians!
At the moment, the leaders of the Coalition were in Operations, taking in the events of several hours ago as told by Commander Shelby and Captain Volk, who commanded the Zenidra, which was Anasazi's vessel before he was captured. Chancellor Martok and Empress Seela Yar were among those present. So was the new representative of the Cardassian Head Command, Elim Garek, along with Odo whom was representing the Foundres.
At the moment, Seela was in awe of what she was seeing from Commander Shelby's and Captain Volk's reports. She had never seen any alien race's technology that could actively pose a threat to Romulus like this since the discovery of the Borg! Martok however, was not treading over the data with as much caution. He was seeing this thread as nothing but a great challenge!
Garek, on the other hand, was feeling much like Seela. He had already seen what a power of the Gamma Quadrant could do since the Dominion Wars in the battle for Cardassia Prime. He was not looking for a repeat. But he was also not up for letting Wraitan have a free pass.
"Still, there must be something we can do!" Garek spoke up.
"I'm just not sure we will be able to match them on their own turf." Odo said. "Even the Dominion has limited information on the Jarvanians. We've hardly come across them. Usually they keep to themselves."
"Not anymore, apparently." Seela spoke. "I'm just wondering if the manpower from this coalition will be enough to go toe-to-toe with them. They have the advantage in both technology and location. We will be engaging them on their turf, not ours."
"Well, we can't just still here and wait for them to show up on our doorsteps next! What would you do if they attacked Romulus?"
"I'm not saying I don't see your point, Garek." Seela replied. "Nor do I intend to run from the Jarvanians if they come looking for a fight. I'm just saying, no matter how much I dislike the idea, that we will have to think out our attack first."
"Then think it out quickly, Empress!" Martok snapped. "Because the Klingon Empire will not sit idly by while the Jarvanians invade!"
