"why do you wear a mask?" they were out under the trees watching the sunset. the air was cool and the leaves rustled in the wind, making it seem like the trees were whispering to one another.
"that's a question that will be answered in the near future." the boy said as he stared at the sun, feeling the last seconds of it's warmth. he knew he had to tell him sooner or later but not right now.
a boy with vibrant red hair stood up and inhaled deeply. "you have to tell me eventually, tyler. you can't just hide whatever it is you're hiding." and with that, he walked away without turning back. leaving the masked boy under the tree, alone.
