"Shhh it's going to be okay".
My father assures me as we sit in the car on the way home from school. A girl in my grade was bullying me and the school called my dad to come and pick me up. He's understanding like that, my mother and father divorced two years ago, although it didn't really affect me because I'd always loved my father more than my mum. He's helped me through just about everything.

I'm in year nine, and things are taking a toll on me. I continuously get bullied at school, but my dad has been there to pick me up and dust me off, he is the reason I choose to keep going.

I rest my head against the car window, looking out at the pouring rain. I look out the front window for one second.
"Dad!", I yell.
That's all I remember before a car collided into our window. I was thrown out of my seat and my head smashed against the dashboard and everything went black.

"I'm sorry Carrie, my darling. I'm going to go but you need to go back,  I love you. And never forget; be brave when you're afraid", my father said as he stood before me in the blank room.
"Will I see you soon?", I ask drastically before his figure disappeared.

I woke with pain coarsing through my body. The first thing I notice is the overpowering smell of antiseptic. My eyes begin to adjust to bright light, and I began to determine my surroundings. I have little tubes going up my nose and into my arm, it's uncomfortable. A girl in a nurse's uniform enters my room. She looks at me in surprise.
"She woke up!", she yelled for the other doctors.
Doctors and nurses began to pile into my room.
"One month and seven days", I heard one murmur. The lead doctor stepped up and looked at me.
"You were in a coma for one month and seven days, your father passed away two hours ago, you're a miracle child", he says with sympathy in his eyes.
That's when everything turned white once more. I heard more yells.
"She's going, one, two, three", I hear.
My body shakes with electricity buzzing around me and my eyes burst open.
"You had a near close to fatal anxiety attack", he explains. I just nod with multiple tears slipping out of my eyes, my hero is gone and he isn't coming back.
