"That Boy" (Unfinished)

"Lovestruck"

- Luke -
As he snatched me closer to his body. I started to feel a little more safe (I had no idea why). In that moment my mind had cleared and I became completely oblivious to what was going on. I heard a deep and powerful growl behind me, I snapped my head back to see what it was; I looked into its eyes and it hit me; it came rushing back. How it chased me around the park, attempted to kill me. I looked back at the guy who was holding me. I was terrified, my heart was racing, I thought that I was going to die, that WE were going to die. I pushed myself closer to his chest to feel more secure. I guess he could sense my fright because he held me tighter, refusing to back down from the beast. I started to shiver. I could barely stand. I looked back at the animal which was getting ready to pounce. I fell back into the hunk holding me. I suddenly found myself moving away from his body and he had let me go. I fell back on something hard; hitting my head in the process causing it to bleed. I looked in front of me and saw the animal and the guy ravaging each other. I focused on the animal and made out that it was a wolf, a big dark wolf; dark brown fur with blood red eyes. It was huge! Roughly around the size of a small car (which was big for a wolf). His teeth were sharp and looked like they were ready to kill. The wolf lunged in anger at the guy who had intervened between him and his meal (me). I could see that the guy was going to die, he was no match for a beast that big and that strong. I closed my eyes to avoid watching the blood shed that was surely going to happen. I winced my eyes hard; expecting a scream but it never came, I opened my eyes to see what was going on and to my surprise I saw the guy at least three times smaller than the beast holding it in mid air with both hands; no struggle at all. I looked at him in horror as I saw the man in front of me slamming the wolf on the ground; showing no mercy. I thought to myself so much strength no human could be this strong, could they? I glanced at his eyes and saw that they were glowing a bright green. I thought that wasn't possible, they were brown earlier. I looked back at the wolf, I could here it wimparing and growling at the same time. Blood was spilling all over the place; nothing you could have ever imagined. This fight was gruesome and vicious, I wanted it to finish and with that thought I heard a snap of a neck. I peered up and saw that the guy had snapped the wolfs neck. I stared at the wolves lifeless body not moving at all, I knew it was dead. I stood up in horror and shock and raced to my house before the guy had noticed me missing. I ran faster than I had ever before and within no time I reached my house. I locked all the doors; all the windows. Ran up the stairs into my bedroom, locked the door then the window and curled up onto my bed and cried myself to sleep in all the brutal and horrifying things that I had just witnessed.

- A few days later -
I had locked myself in my bedroom for a few days now. Forever traumatised from the events that had surfaced a few days ago. Refusing to leave or show my face at school knowing that guy would be in the same building as me lurking somewhere. I heard a soft knock at my door. "Come in" I said expressionless. My mother walked in "come on Luke, you have to get out of here eventually" she said. "I know" I said "if you knew what I've seen you wouldn't want to leave either" I said bluntly. "What do you mean?" she replied. I stared at the ground and said nothing. She frowned "anyway, Amelia is waiting for you downstairs. So hurry up and get dressed. You don't want to keep her waiting do you?" I groaned "fine" I slipped off my bed and threw on some clothes. I slithered down the stairs as fast as a snail would and glanced towards Amelia who I noticed was sat there with a frown on her face. I looked to the other side of the room and saw Jake who also had a frown on his face. "Come on" I said "let's get today over and done with" i said sadly.

- School -
I walked through the gates with the biggest frown on my face. It was noticeable; a few people asked if I were okay and my answer was always "as good as I'll ever be". I wanted to be alone for a bit so I asked Amelia and Jake to leave me alone. I stood in the middle of the field; staring into the sky, trying to clear my mind. I heard a soft voice behind me "hey; you okay?" I turned around to see it was my friend Luna. I was kind of surprised she actually cared "I'm fine. Just gathering my thoughts". I said. "Cool. Care to share" she said thoughtfully. I looked at her should I tell her? Would it make me sound crazy? Maybe I already am crazy? "I witnessed something unbelievably traumatic a few days ago." After I said it aloud I realised how crazy I sounded. "Oh" is all she said. I thought oh no she thinks I'm crazy, she's going to tell somebody I just know it. "What is it you witnessed?" She asked curiously and delicately. I thought for a while contemplating weather or not I should tell her. "Well?" She said. I opened my mouth to speak and the feelings I had for this guy came rushing back to my mind at warp speed. I suddenly remembered the tingly feeling he sent all around my body every time he was near me and how he made the hairs on my neck stand up. In that moment my feelings for him grew and it finally became clear that I LOVED him. I thought to myself how could I love him? I didn't even know him. As I digged deeper into my feelings I realised all these unanswered questions didn't matter. All that mattered was him and I needed him to be by my side right now. I heard Luna's impatient tone calling to me "hello is anyone in there?" She said. "Oh, sorry" I answered. "What was it you were trying to tell me?" She said eagerly. "Never mind. It doesn't matter. I need to go!" I said quickly as I ran off. "WAIT, WAIT WHERE ARE YOU GOING!" She shouted to me. I replied with "I NEED TO GO. I'LL TALK TO YOU LATER. SORRY!" I shouted back to her while I was running faster and faster.
