I took a few days off of work after losing James Rockwell, a case I worked on for several years only to be too late to save the man I always knew was innocent I sit in bed watching the news my beard already starting to grow back I lay in a white shirt and checkered boxers, potato chip crumbs everywhere and a six-pack laying on the bed side table. I lay here in bed watching the news for some ungodly reason when I hear.

"This just in the man and woman by the names Georgia De'lono and Mya Jones have been arrested for the murder of Ronnie Wells while a man James Rockwell an innocent man a mere witness to the crime was sentenced to death by the chair a Detective Langsting spent years trying to prove this man was innocent but was too late in the end but he has set the truth straight and so now James Rockwell will live on in our hearts forever apologies to the family..." I turn the TV off and open the drawer to my bedside table and take out my gun I cock it and put it against my temple.
"He was innocent."
Those were my last words before I pulled the trigger ending my life forever.
