ONE ☆ ARCHIE GOT HOT

OLIVE AND KEVIN sat on betty's bed as she did her make-up. betty was meeting up with archie for the first time since before the summer.

❝are you excited? nervous?❞ asked kevin with a grin as he looked up from his phone. betty turned around smiling.

❝both, I haven't seen him all summer❞ she said.

olive kept quiet like she usually did when archie came up in conversations. she also hadn't seen much of archie that summer, hee seemed to busy for her now. she hadn't seen or spoken to him since the day he cancelled on jughead and her. olive didn't hate him, she just felt betrayed. because of the sudden change of plans, the road trip never happened and she stopped talking to jughead too. they would occasionally say hello when they saw each other at pop's but nothing more. and when jason drowned, everything seemed to get worse.

❝which is why nerves are acceptable, but we agreed betty. it's time.❞ started kevin. olive felt awkward since she hadn't told them about what happened. they think archie, olive and jughead are still best friends.

❝you like him. he likes you❞ he finished. betty turned around to face kevin again.

❝well, then why, kevin, hasn't he ever said or done anything?❞ she said pointing her makeup brush at him.

❝because, archie's swell, but like most millennial straight guys, he needs to be told what he wants. so tell him❞ said kevin as he got up too look out the window. olive rolled her eyes. to her kevin was a really smart person but that was probably the stupidest thing she had ever heard him say.

❝olive, can you help me?❞ asked betty, handing her the brush. olive nodded and took the brush into her hands. but as she started applying some more make-up onto betty's face, kevin interrupted.

❝oh my god! Archie got hot!❞ exclaimed kevin. betty and olive made there way over to the window, although olive was reluctant at first. but as she approached the window she got a good glimpse at the red headed boy. archie had indeed gotten hot.

❝he's got abs now!❞ olive rolled her eyes at kevin's obvious statement and sat back down on the bed, which kevin and betty hadn't noticed as they were too mesmerized at archie's newly developed six pack.

❝six more reasons for you to take that ginger bull by the horns tonight!❞ betty grinned at kevin before noticing olive was no longer behind her. the two looked back and noticed her laying on betty's bed, staring at the ceiling.

❝oli? are you okay?❞ asked betty with a concerned tone present in her voice. olive sat up, looked at her friends and nodded.

❝i'm absolutely fine, just go have fun betty" she spoke. betty seemed to buy the lie but kevin however, wasn't fooled. betty nodded and slipped on her pink sleeveless top.

❝hey betty, is it okay if me and oli hang out here for a little while?❞ asked kevin to betty who had just about walked out the door.

❝um sure, just make sure you're gone before my mom gets home❞ she said before leaving. when betty was gone, kevin jumped onto the empty space of the bed, next to olive.

❝okay, you lying goddess, spill it, what's up?❞ he said as if he was interrogating her, which was understandable since he was the sheriff's son. olive couldn't see the point in lying anymore.

❝it's about archie❞ she started. kevin gasped as if what she had just told him was the worst thing that could possibly happen.

❝oh no, you like him don't you.❞ olive slapped kevin's arm.

❝no! no! let me finish kev.❞ exclaimed olive. ❝it's just... something happened this summer, and we haven't been talking, that's it.❞

kevin was once again not believing it, even though olive was telling the truth, just maybe not all of it. he sighed and was about to get olive to keep spilling when the two heard the door open, along with the voices of hal and alice cooper. they looked at each other in a panic and quickly climbed out of the bedroom window.

❝i should probably get home kev, my mom will be worried❞

kevin nodded and waved goodbye to the browned haired girl as she disappeared from his sight slowly.

if there was one thing olive wasn't ready for, it was the first day of school
