Cross!Sans x Reader (Fluff)

*NOTE* I'm not familiar with/don't know much about this AU so bear with me.

(Y/N POV)

"So tell me, where exactly are you from and why are you here?"

Ink and Dream are fighting with someone, they never tell me who. Ink says it's to protect me, but i can take care of myself.

I'm just.. in the void. All is white and bleak.

A portal opened.
Ink and Dream are off protecting the AUs.
So, who's this?

They pop their head out and look around. Its... another Sans? Where is he from?

He doesn't seem to spot me. I head over toward him.
He climbs out of the portal and starts walking away.

I run to catch up. He hears my footsteps, and turns around to see who it is.

Time slows, we stare at each other for a while. He's pretty cute. He wears a black jacket with several white attachments. White fluff on the hood, black shorts with white Xs on each leg. White shoes with Xs, a gold locket and a black and white tattered scarf.

I look up and study his face some more, one pupil is white and the other one is red. He also has a lightning bolt shaped scar under his right eye? Or is it his left? Im not good with direction.

"Um, Hi! I-I'm (Y/N)! Welcome to my home, the void!"
He has a black expression, like he's trying to process what's happening.

"I know it seems a little baren, but this," I motion to the void around us," is where I live. It's not much but it sure keeps a glitch like me secure."

"Wait wait wait. You're a glitch?"

"And so he speaks. Yes, I'm a glitch. Now, what's your name and what brings you here?"

"Oh um, I'm Cross. I dont remember why im here. I think I'm lost. I saw a portal open up in front of me and something just, told me, 'You need to go in there'. So i did."

I dont believe him, but he's the only other person beside Ink and Dream that I've ever talked to... hmm...

After a bit of awkward silence, i showed him a few of the furniture pieces ink made so i felt more comfortable. He seemed to like it.

"So wait, you live here? All alone? don't you want to leave and explore and meet people?"

"Yes, but i can't. See, im a glitch, if i leave here Error will find me and kill me. This is the only place in really safe, even here Error has a chance of finding me but it's slim."

I take a seat on the couch, fiddling with my hands. Cross looks lost in thought. All is silent.

"But it's whatever, i don't belong anywhere really."

"What if i told you that i cam take you somewhere that Error can't find you? And you'll be able to live somewhere different, somewhere with people and you won't be alone."

"That sounds nice, but i can't. im a danger to the AUs. Even the original. I just, can't leave here. Kinda why Ink painted me some furniture. I'll be here forever."

Silence.
He stares at me for a bit. I can sense something within his soul.
He starts walking away.

"H-Hey! Cross! Where are you going?"

He doesn't stop.

"Im going to have a few words with Ink."

He opens a portal and jumps through.

So he can open portals. He might've opened the one leading to here. But, why would he need to be in the void? In the nothing-ness of this place.

I open a portal to the dark void. Tge one no one goes to, but I do. There's someone there who helps me out and talks to me.

I step through and call out for him.

(Time skip)

Cross comes back through the portal with Ink in his grip. He doesn't see me at first. He calls out, hearing my name with his voice makes me blush, whhyy??

I pop up from behind the couch and teleport to them. He blinks and shrugs it off.

"Ink here has something to tell you."

"Um, I uh.."

"C'mon, dont be afraid."

"Okay, so, yes, you are a glitch, and Error could find you and destroy you, but hear me out. You... you aren't really a harm to any of the worlds. I found a glitch in the coding of the Echotale AU and found you, just looking at the water, the blue flowers, just being beautiful. So i stated talking to you. You claimed you had no idea where you are, who you are, or what you were doig there. So i brought you here. Erased some of your memories and told you the lies you know now. Look I'm sorry I just didn't want you getting hurt or messing with the worlds so i brought you here, here you cant do anything to hurt or mess up the data and coding. Im sorry."

"...."

I open a portal and jump through, im heading to the dark void. The only one who hasn't lied to me. Cross soon follows.

"This place isn't meant for your kind Cross."

"(Y/N), are you okay? You kinda just ran off."

"Well i just found out that the person i trusted was lying to me the while time and was just worried about the worlds and not me and..."

Cross grabs me, hold me tight.

"Its going to be okay. Don't worry. We can just go to my AU. Meet me people, see more than just a white void."

I melt into the hug. Damn I'm blushing so much.

"Thank you, Cross. I appreciate it."

He loosens his grip and looks down at me.

"No problem kiddo."

I feel a force push me into him, kissing him. He doesn't pull back and neither do i.  My face is so red, i can only guess his is too.

When we pull apart, he is a blushing mess, trying to speak but stuttering.
I turn around and see my friend giving me a thumbs up.

I smile, "Thanks Gaster."

Cross grabs my hand and opens a portal, beyond it had a beautiful land scape and lots of people.

"You ready?"

"Let's do this."

We jump in and head into a new life.
